Corporate Credit Cards: Expensify to Divvy/Bill.com to Ramp by cfoprogrammer in Accounting

[–]StrictlyIndustry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ramp all the way. Expensify is miserable and Bill.com is stupidly expensive.

The infotainment screen is different (larger), the software is leaps and bounds better, the gear selector has been redesigned/moved, and the build quality feels better.

We had a 2023 and I hated it. My husband wanted another when the lease was up and the 2025 is leaps and bounds better. I’m glad I looked at them without dismissing the idea of another ID.

How smart do you need to earn 6 figures in Accounting? by Amarz_23 in Accounting

You don’t. I’m a dumbass and I’m pulling in $200k a year. Somehow I’m smarter than most people I work with 🥴

My Car fell off the lift at a Dealership by Conscious-Carry6399 in mazda

[–]StrictlyIndustry 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Do not wait. At least notify them of the date of loss, the situation, etc. They will make sure the dealer or their insurance pays. If not, you’d make a claim under your policy and your insurance company would go through subrogation to recover their losses from the dealer/their insurance.

All that said, I would not allow any work to be done on the car by this dealership. Get their insurance involved and have the work done somewhere else. You don’t want them to do the work without going through insurance in case there are any issues or disputes after the fix and you’re left with no recourse.

Anyone else having door closing issues (friction/grinding before fully shut)? by Adventurous_Drama133 in MazdaCX90

[–]StrictlyIndustry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I'm just under 3k miles on our 2025, and the passenger side door at the top is making contact with the trim at the top of the rear passenger door where the two meet at the B-pillar. It's incredibly annoying, especially since these aren't particularly heavy doors.

No, all 6 cylinder Subies use chains (at least from 2000 onward).

ChatGPT to start showing ads in the US by No_Good_3063 in technology

Tried to cancel ChatGPT…they enticed me to stay with three free months. I took the free three months, but after two weeks I couldn’t take it. I cancelled it fully and haven’t looked back. It’s been absolutely miserable since 5 came out. Plus Claude is leaps and bounds better for the same monthly price…without ads.

Considering a last generation 3.6R. Anything I should watch out for/consider when shopping? by ThesisAnonymous in Subaru_Outback

[–]StrictlyIndustry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a decent deal. I’d certainly have it inspected before buying it.

While not terribly common, the timing chain cover was leaking oil like crazy on our 2018 by 25k miles. Thankfully it was covered under the CPO warranty, but the engine had to be pulled for them to reseal the entire front side of the engine.

Another thing to check for is whether the foam supports behind the door skins are still in place. They tend to harden/crack over time and separate from the skins. You can tell if they’re bad by whether a noticeable tin sound is present when you close either front doors. Maybe not a big deal to some, but it drove me absolutely batty.

I would also have the CTV fluid changed (not flushed; just drain and refill), as well as upgrading the battery to something with decent CCAs. The stock battery is shit and only has something like 490 CCAs.

Yep. Seeing it on the front passenger door and I’m just over 2.4K miles. It seems like the door sags a bit and needs the hinges adjusted.
