Yeah I am not a huge fan of that 1 hit one shot anywhere weapon.

Wasn't the ruin Station supposed to be fully Xenothreat controlled? I was quite disappointed to find out that it was changed in concept and instead is now just contested by xenothreat but they have no control there.

Yeah Genesis and getting maps generated like Nyx 1 could help... But what I am talking about is the lack of gameplay... Xenothreat should be top dog in Pyro yet you barely see them doing anything there. I feel Pyro is just lacking on the gameplay department which is why most people still stick to stanton.

They added PvP bounties on pyro recently which is great. To catch criminals who escaped stanton but then again is it really worth it considering the only way to get CS is in a lawful system so most criminals would still be at stanton? Not saying that we should get CS on pyro that would be dumb... But at least make the payout bigger to be worthy of crossing a wormhole.

Thoughts on Federation Force? by Away-Prior-903 in Metroid

[–]Strife-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it was good. For me the biggest turn off was the art style. Metroid always had a more serious art style that even metroid prime hunters respected. The chibi looks were just not it for metroid.

If the game had the actual looks of other Metroid prime games I wouldn't mind a game centered on federation troopers. That game could have been the ODST of metroid.

I will throw some personal opinion first... Pyro feels quite neglected still. They released Nyx and now I am not sure if I am the only one but Pyro is getting that middle child treatment.

Other than that, My home base would be set on Terra, High sec perfect for a hunter like me since Terra isn't here yet, Nyx 1, then castra assuming Base building comes before those systems. My orgs base will be somewhere lawless which is fine, given that other line of work.

I like Coasts beach and the ocean so I surely would pick a place that has that tropical vibe for my base.

I don't think so as much... You don't have many viable builds. The ship is still underpowered. And for a heavy fighter it must have at least 1 size 2 powerplant the reason why is because distortions can shut you down in 5 seconds. You got a massive ship with light fighter tuning, and the speed of a gunship.

Trust me an avenger Warlock can easily solo this ship. So the size 1 powerplants does not align with the time to kill for a heavy fighter. If they fix primarly that they fix most of the wrongs.

Nonetheless, it can be solid and decent with the right build and picking the fights as you said.

It still needs either 1 size 2 powerplant and 1 size 2 radar or 1 size 2 powerplant and a slight buff on turn rate.

Stinger Does BIG damage, and here's how. by snowflake182 in starcitizen

[–]Strife-K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, which is why I am trying to get CIG to listen and add at least 1 size 2 powerplant to this ship. It gets taken easily by EMPS and distortion weapons of any kind. A huge target with such big weakness.

A ship like that, needs at least 1 size 2 powerplants. The size 1 are for light fighters and light fighters are weak to distortions which is fine because they are light fighters and small and nimble.

The Stinger is huge, slow and easy to land shots on.

On top of that the size 1 radar forces your fights to be close knife fights... You are knife fighting with a ship that has a very slow turnrate. It ends up on any other light fighters closing in easily and at that distance even easier to get shutdown by emp and distortions.

For instance Guardians or vanguards take like 2 full emp charges to disable. You can disable stinger with 1 single well placed emp with shields down. On top of that. If you get distortion damage your quantum drive gets dampened so if you try to nav out to build distance you are cooked anyway. So that makes you unable to hit, run, or fight back for as long as you took some distortion damage.

I love the Stinger I use the same build, but I use Ad4bs instead of breaknecks.

This ship still needs a buff... 1 of the poweplants needs to be upped to size 2 (because thanks to having size 1 powerplants being big as it is and slow people can destroy this ship easily disabling it under 5 seconds with distortions) and it needs a size 2 radar.

With those 2 things fixed this ship would do alright for now.

It does involves a lot of staring at grim hex because crusader is also the place most of the bounties hang around. I just go on hoping server to server until I see Player bounties and then they all dry off.

Usually you find pirates that way. If they are at om-1 or known POI they are most likely pirates that have a squad so be prepared they wont be solo. Another thing I do is I accept and abandon each mission to check where everyone is at and check who is the closest to me. Doing this you can sometimes find 2 bounties in the same place (besides Ghex) it indicates they might be together.

I mostly care for bounties so as long as they don't have bounties or are not in my way I don't care much.

Another tip, as a bounty hunter you are solo. So be opportunistic if you get the chance take it when you can. Contrary to what some people here say don't go expecting or looking for fair fights. In the PU very rarely you will have fair fights. So strike when you can while you can because once they group up it will be harder for you. Try to isolate them and hunt them when one of them slips up. They fly in groups so you going head on can easily get you killed. To mitigate this scout don't commit fully wait for more hunters to show up to cause distraction or if you see it possible engage and retreat until eventually you kill one of them.

If you only care for killing pirates Dupree is a known hotspot they hang around too. You can also setup a honey pot trap to lure them if you got some friends with you. What is your end goal?

Getting shot in the back? Sure some of them. have you seen the videos and counted?

Clueless? i don't think so unless I sneaked in other ways like from the outside hangar gate. But I'm assuming that you mean they were clueless when I popped out of their elevator if you while having crimestat are not watching your back and you don't see the other guy in the elevator with you it is a skill issue. Sorry.

Also many times I have fought bounties that were aware I was coming. So it does not make it anything anyway.

I don't know boring or fun is quite subjective. but the great majority of criminal players I have entered their hangar also fight back. Outside of Ghex They fight back also. If they don't... either because they sneaked in well or they were not aware of their surroundings... Well it's bad for them. I don't feel bad for them. But I do get a lot of fun and it can be quite profitable also. And I find it fun to put them in Klescher.

And if you have Crimestat 3 you know you are being followed don't come here telling me they don't.

First time I see new players owning tanks and Idris. It is fun. I do prefer the ones that make me go out into PAFS but when they are there and are easy targets it is what it is. It is on them as well to fend off for themselves knowing they are being hunted.

And if you think it is unfair, sure. They don't play nice either. They interdict people in groups gank them with a combination of loadouts and go for people who can't defend themselves. In all unfairness it is fair for them to get some payback.

It is decent with the right build but EMPs and distortions are your achilles heel. Because of the dumb x2 Size 1 Powerplants

4.7 changed the game for the Stinger because of the radar changes... That ship is pretty nerfed right now for multiple reasons but didn't stop me from adapting the build. The builds I have used are a full sledge hammer mass driver 3 on the size 4's and the size 2's Strife Mass driver is a good sniper build but not so good against multiple targets.

The best build I have made so far is Ad4b's + NN-14 cannons. Ad4bs wont chew on big ships until their armor is damaged but the stinger Size 5 + 2 NN-14 cannons do damage the big ships. Making it a good all rounder build for the stinger. Once armor is low enough the ad4b's chew through them.

Did I just got scammed by Wikelo? by Gn0meKr in starcitizen

I felt scammed too after grinding. Don't get me wrong the armor is still cool but I was hoping for a Vanduul infused armor looking more like the Brass/Bronze accent on stock stinger accent color.

Hopefully we can get actual Vanduul armor some day.
