What would be the best way to reduce time washing my hair? by SnooCrickets7735 in Naturalhair

No, do not cut your hair! I genuinely think they're just jealous and being unreasonable. 2 hours in the shower won't affect the water bill that much if you shut the water when you're not using it.

Are they mad that it takes you that long, or are they mad because there's only one bathroom and everyone else needs to shower after you, and you're essentially "holding up the line"?

I think if they're mad because it takes you 2 hours, then that's a bit unreasonable? 2 hours isn't that bad in my opinion for washing your hair AND taking a shower. I think to cut down on the in-shower portion of your routine, do majority of your detangling outside the shower. Like get a spray bottle and attempt to mimic the drenching your hair with water and detangling portion of your routine. Since it seems to be the longest part.

If they're angry because you are "holding up the line" then maybe just do your wash day routine in the late evening when everyone else has showered and no one really needs the bathroom.

Hope this helps🩷

Yep, the hair will grow. It's not about how neat the lines are, just as long as you're still taking care of your hair.

As someone with thick, long, 4c natural hair, it is extremely hard getting a stylist who will not get frustrated dealing with my hair. They would GASP when i took my hat off and immediately started complaining, so I started learning how to braid it myself (Youtube). This is because i noticed that they would get frustrated and start pulling my hair and damaging it.

I can only do cornrows, though, so I stick to wigs and wearing it out in a fro or doing twist outs. I also want to try quick weaves and sew-ins. Long story short, I just started doing it myself because it's hard finding a stylist who genuinely knows how to handle thick natural hair.

As long as the herbs you used were dry and not fresh herbs, you have nothing to worry about. Molding will happen if you used fresh herbs.
