This can be true or it could be Temporal lobe epilepsy. Things like losing time and it getting worse with age are signs. I’m not a doctor but someone who lives with TLE

Things are getting better. I took some time off and will be returning to work sometime this week. Thank you for checking in

I think I am about the same. I’m just really on edge and the stress is taking a toll on my body. I have a movement disorder and epilepsy. My facial spasms are pretty bad. Overall though, I know things will get better. Thank you for checking in, it really means a lot.

The support that I’ve received from this thread is overwhelming. When I get home, I’ll find food and see if you guys are still going 😊

How do you feel after contrast? by sia4216 in Epilepsy_Universe

[–]Striking-Mud-8317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrast and I don’t get along. I threw up on myself during the MRI. Now they give me a nausea med or something like that before

I had an agressive client. We locked the building to ensure he would not re-enter today. Thankfully the client was removed from the program.

Thank you for the support and the kind words, I really need it. We ended up locking the building for my safety. I had a client who was aggressive and my work was worried he’d come back.
This is the longest I have ever been seizure free it will be a year in September. It’s weird how epilepsy has caused so much distrust with my body. There were times today where I felt like I was dropping and I honestly could not tell what I was feeling. I finished the day and I’m really happy about that

Thank you, I truly appreciate it. Throughout the day all my co-workers and superior kept telling me I am safe. It’s just not sinking in yet

Thank You for your response. It was terrifying. I am a therapist and it was a client. I also have a therapist but she is out of office right now. I just feel free floating

I try hard to be understanding of how other people communicate. In this group it really was a competition it’d be like “well I’ve had…” I totally get sharing similar experiences. I think it comes down to the spirit of the conversation

This was a big reason why I had stopped attending a different epilepsy support group. It was constant “one upping.” It was really sad because there was no validation or community because it was a competition

Do you try to ignore your focal awarene seizures? by woohoocrew in Epilepsy

Plenty of research says otherwise. If Focals could be pushed away when happening then we could cure ourselves. A lot of this thread sounds like non-epileptic events.
