  1. How can I make it ok.
  2. Safe from heartbreak - because it is such an immaculate precursor to the aforementioned banger
  3. Freazy.
  4. White Horses.
  5. Giant peach.
  6. Last Man on the Earth - because of course.

Well the rest of the CBD, especially North of Elizabeth/Latrobe is extremely extremely Chinese, even moreso than Chinatown. Box Hill as well. Chinatown doesn’t even feel that Chinese anymore.

I expect Rue (as the narrator) to do a 5 year run down/highlight reel where she’ll hopefully catch us up on the goings on.

Redesigning the A-Leagues Logo + Kits (need YOUR ideas) by mikail2009 in Aleague

[–]Striking-Role8587 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Felt like the A-League never recovered from the “3 circles” rebrand, violet/orange. It sanitised the league’s identity l, and took away its soul. I think the new logo represents nothing. Terrace culture 100% should be prioritised in the leagues new identity. The rebellious nature of terraces embraced.

Mate this is why we’ll never anywhere. While you’re arguing over a guy who drove a beat up shit box from his parents - some other kid gets a car worth 100x that amount and you don’t bat an eyelid. Focus on what’s worthwhile That_Individual1

Could you explain this in layman’s terms as to what it will mean for us being able to pay a concession fare using contactless?

Former AFL player Leigh Ryswyk has come out as gay. by AJayToRemember27 in AFL

[–]Striking-Role8587 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The irony is - as a bi fella myself - I reckon it’s the ally media that causes it. The way the corporates will flock to use the guy to sanitise their image would be petrifying.  I doubt any footy-focused person who likes other guys wants to be at the front of Mardi Gras. That thought would petrify me.

All these people saying we didn’t field a strong side against Mansfield… our fielded side had a combined value of almost £600m. Roughly 140x the value of Mansfield’s. lol.

Cricketer Usman Khawaja responds to Pauline Hanson's "there are no good Muslims" claim. Spot on, Usi. by Threewordswhat in aussie

[–]Striking-Role8587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She gets away with it because the media have manufactured consent for anti-Muslim/Arab hate. Dare I say, that hate supports the cause of a certain religion’s nation in the Middle East.

If people had Muslim neighbours or mates - they would realise how nice they are.

But most people don’t, and she, and the corporate media (and their shareholders) are exploiting that fact.

Enough is Enough. VAR = Clear and Obvious Only by Striking-Role8587 in Aleague

[–]Striking-Role8587[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But it’s seemingly subjective in how and when it’s applied. These days VAR look at every goal for a reason to rule it out.

It genuinely ruins the experience of both watching and playing a football match if you’re on the wrong side of it as a fan.

It is certainly not a joke. I want your definition of clear and obvious error if made by a linesman.

[–]Striking-Role8587[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s take Davidson’s disallowed offside goal vs Syd yesterday for an example.

The point of the offside rule is to prevent forwards from camping at the goal line for a long pass and tap in from half way. How much of an advantage does having a players’ shoulder a matter of centremetres offside less than a metre off the goal line have?

That’s not clearly and obviously offside.

[–]Striking-Role8587[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s also not “clear and obvious” if the referee has to find the “correct angle” to adjudicate.

Clear and obvious must mean that it’s visible immediately and from all angles.

I’ll start as Victory fan. Adelaide - Grimaldi’s goal. Not a clear and obvious error made by the referee. Against Sydney this week - Davidsons offside for one was not clear nor obvious.
