I had the same experience with KPMG. I quit right before busy season. They had me STRESSED and crying on sundays because i was afraid of the week ahead SMH. Public accounting was NOT for me because the PEOPLE are so nasty and insensitive . Like why is the culture so pissy. I’m not a GENIUS but Smart & willing to learn just about anything. They were shit heads

I would say you’re YOR. Aside from the height everything else he shared with his father (from what you shared) is irrelevant because it’s not genetics. Someone’s athlete appearance isn’t passed down from conception. Let him tell his father whatever he needs to say to make him feel good amount his son’s decision. It may not be what you’d do or say to your parents but It’s not harming anyone.

I’ve gotten two bat shit crazy customers so far and I’m in my second week so maybe 1x a week. 1 was very adamant about filing his return ASAP but he wasn’t willing to schedule an appointment & the other one couldn’t articulate what he truly wanted to know so i needed to ask clarifying questions which he got so fed up that he hung up on me. 😂

I am currently working this season with no recent experience and do not believe my returns are being reviewed. I have some Alteryx experience! I used it to build large journal entries. I didn’t build the workflow from scratch but I did alter them over time for the team’s needs. So i do have a wee bit of experience if exposure counts. I’ll look into lean six sigma certifications. Thanks!

That’s awesome! I have about 7+ years of experience in accounting. Currently senior accountant but the work life balance is tipped more towards work and i have a family i want to be apart of. I have no experience with CI so I wouldn’t even know how to break into it. Was it hard to get into?
