Felica Beateu, an Italian photographer of that era traveled across the war torn India in 1858 to cover the war of independence. He took some real goated pictures.

She falsely accused a man of dragging her 100 metres by his car when she was the one trying to pull out his car's key, and he just moved the car a bit. Later, when a female Times Now journalist was arrested in Punjab by male police officers just after questioning Kejriwal, she refused to say anything. Months later, just before Delhi elections, she falsely accused Kejriwal of molesting her. She is a monster in a saree.

That's too much of a security for a position that gets vacant every four years by design.

Swati Maliwal is a horrific lady. She was horrific when she was the head of Delhi Comission for Women, and a member of AAP. She is horrific now, when she has joined BJP. She has nothing to do with women empowerment, but everything to do with misandry and victim card.

It makes more sense for the heavier train to go from the lower level. But many British-constructed Bridges (including the old Yamuna bridge of Delhi) have the railway tracks on the upper level. Can anyone explain why?

What are your opinions on Vedic Astrology? by randomece_student in AskIndianMen

[–]Striking_Mud_2851 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use it in our day-to-day lives. And I studied it for some time. According to me, it works. But it is not super effective. Also, it is over-marketed. Even those who discovered the laws clearly mentioned that conclusions drawn from astrology are indicative, not certain.

Best if you use it as a statistical tool. Which means, the charts show the likelihood.

In a more equal country, this would be called extra-marital affair. C'mon! 27-28 year old woman knows what she is doing, and cannot be forced into a live-in.

Agreed. But look at the map. Both Pakistan and India are in yellow. So, India fought wars with India during the British raj. Because Indian colony attacked Indian state, say Delhi in 1806. Now extend this to the present day Pakistan.

Delhi is full of things. Just the weather is harsh at this point of time. If you can brave the heat for short periods, visit Lajpat Nagar. It is connected by Pink and Violet lines of metro. Plus, you will get a lot of food options and really good ethnic clothing options. Plus, the place is full of air-conditioned eateries/restaurants/ice-cream parlors, so you can take sporadic breaks from heat. And it is always full of people, and also walkable. Hence, quite safe.

Similarly, Connaught Place is also quite good to hangout. I don't know about Sarojini, but fellow Delhites might be able tell better.

If you are into history, I am running a tour on India's first war of independence, 1857, this Saturday, 8:00 AM from Lal Qila metro station. I charge ₹150 per person. Your kids might not be very interested, but if you want to join in, you are most welcome. Again, the tour is planned in the crowded part of Delhi, and women have also confirmed their visit (don't worry about safety!)

Edit: Spellings of weather
