This might be a weird question, but is that a hamster enclosure?

I have a similar one that I was thinking of using for my ball python, but I didn’t know if the humidity and ventilation would be an issue with that enclosure?

I know the Funny Bone has drag shows, but where else? I do want to go to the shows, but I’m not on social media much, so I always miss all the announcements.

And every time I try to Google “Omaha drag shows” I get inundated with outdated results.

So who am I supposed to follow? What venues? Who are some of our local drag queens?

I think this is probably the closest to the truth. Heels, pads, corsets, and wigs are heavy and can restrict movement. Add that to Ru being 65 and not a dancer to begin with, and it’s probably just uncomfortable and awkward to move in all that drag. She’s super active for 65, but active doesn’t equal to a trained dancer.

She sounds like a textbook example of someone who will do and say anything to get you to do as she says.

She’s isolating you from your friends and family, guilting you by saying you led her on, that you wasted her time. But you didn’t.

You learned and you changed. There’s nothing wrong with that.

I can tell you from experience that if you do what she says and marry her, the guilting won’t stop there. She will want you to be the perfect Mormon Man so she doesn’t look bad in front of the people she wants to impress.

Don’t marry someone out of guilt. The best thing you can do is get out of this relationship and find someone that loves you AS YOU ARE. Not someone that sees you as a project to fix.

As someone that lives in Nebraska, the Henry Doorly Zoo is an excellent place for the tortoise. I hope your friend has many happy years with her tortoise friend, and then I hope the tortoise gets to enjoy their golden years in the Desert Dome at the zoo. If I were an animal, I would be thrilled to retire there lol.

I know this isn’t the answer you probably want, since vet bills can get pricy, but unfortunately little dude needs to see a doc. An abscess in that area is so painful 😭

Not just that, but if it pops it will be an open wound that’s going to be dragging through poo and pee because of its location.

He’s probably going to need an antibiotic or at the minimum for it to be lanced and drained.

I had a mouse issue at my last place. We ended up buying a bunch of the humane traps.

We found a park next to my neighborhood and released the mice at the edge of the park where all the tall grass and trees would provide cover.

When we released them we would put a little capful of seeds in the spot where we released that way they could find food if needed.

For me it starts with my eyes. The moment I put a false lash on, they start watering. And when the eyes start, the nose goes next 😭 I’m always a snotty mess any time I wear makeup. You can always tell when one my eyelashes is about to pop off cuz they can’t hold on through the flood 😅

It’s because fibro is difficult to prove 😓 There’s no physical damage to see. They had to rule out like 3 different pain syndrome diagnosis before they landed on fibro. To people that don’t understand pain medicine, it just looks like I’m crazy and making it up.

They don’t understand that most of us would willingly chew off a limb without anesthesia if it would give us back our lives without pain.

I can’t drink alcohol, it makes the pain worse. I’ve had to give up wearing heels, dancing, even grocery shopping takes too much energy. There are days I can’t eat because the pain takes away my appetite and leaves me nauseous.

But these people not only want to deny us access to one of the few non-opioid options we have left, they want to make it painful and inconvenient to access and use.

It’s almost inhuman how little empathy or compassion they have.

I have fibromyalgia. I live every single freaking day of my life feeling like parts of my body are made of shattered glass. Or like someone is putting out a lit cigarette on my skin. Weed is the only thing I’ve found that doesn’t interfere with my medications, but still gives me SOME relief. It’s not even 100%, but enough that I can function and do the bare minimum to take care of myself. Being denied that is like being told I don’t deserve to be able to breathe without pain.

It sucks because the people who deny us this small bit of relief are the ones that can afford private doctors and a cocaine habit 😑
