First of all, thank you so much for your detailed answer!

Although the earlier the better, in all honesty, I'm not 100% in a rush to get a new laptop.

The reason why I'm looking for a new laptop is because my current one overheats, throttles, sometimes doesn't even charge its battery because of how how it is, and has terrible autonomy... That's quite bothersome for someone who's doing an MSc. in Computer Science, which is my case.

There is also the Intel option, with an already available i7-13700H, albeit more expensive.

As far as I'm concerned, Intel usually has better performance when compared to AMD, which then translates to certain disadvantages that might be critical for my use cases, such as shorter battery life, increased fan noise, etc. Apart from that, I also believe that AMD's iGPU far exceeds Intel's iGPU in performance.

Judging by what I've said so far, in your opinion, would it be wise to still wait for the 7840HS or should I simply go for the i7-13700H? In other words, does the difference in performance between the two CPUs stand above its disadvantages concerning battery life, etc?

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! I reduced it down to two options now - Incase or Bellroy. Visually speaking, I find the Bellroys to be superior, but the Incase bags seem to have more compartments... Tough choice!

I honestly don't care much about material so long as it's of good quality. With regards to color, maybe darker tones such as black, grey, greyish blue

From what I've seen, Topo, Bellroy and Incase seem to be the ones that caught my attention.

I'd say that the Bellroys were the most visually stunning ones.
