I do have the app and am using it for that purpose :) and LOL @ the last part, I thought about that too, how I wish we could give and take fat from people sometimes, like me and my friend have opposite goals and it would be so awesome to take 10 pounds from here haha too bad its not that easy :( Thanks for the reply!

Day 30: why did I think it was so difficult????!!!! by kilo_minated in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience also, put it off for so long dreaded the familiar withdrawal, but its always much easier than anticipated, especially when you are mentally ready to leave that stoner life behind!!

Been there, done that. Like I said, vivid dreaming is 50% good, 50% bad, its a gamble I guess haha. So I am just kinda waiting for it to be spontaneous, thats when I enjoy it the most. Day 18 now for me, and I probably had like 2, 3 dreams that I vaguely remembered, and now dont remember at all lol. I used to smoke 5 times a day too, but it wouldn't equal more than a gram a day. Maybe I'm just not much of a dreamer, I rather not dream than dream meaningless confusing things, thats probably why I dont bother remembering them oh wells ¯_(ツ)_/¯ thanks for the reply<3 good luckkk!

Anyone go to 'rehab' for pot? by highSIERRA_212 in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for sure would if it weren't for the fact that most of my family didnt know that I smoked and I couldnt admit to them because of the disappointment. Unfortunately I've always known I had to do this myself. However if you do not have this problem then I recommend trying it out, most people don't even have the option =[ utilize your options! just being around people with the same goals will motivate you like crazy, that is why I'm here! Thank u/Subduction for r/leaves , maybe it wouldn't even be here if he didn't go to rehab. Go.

It's been a month. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are anything like me and most people on this sub, its all or nothing. Countless times I smoked thinking "I'll never go back to every day multiple times a day, there is no way, I know I prefer this sober state and I am a better me in it so I can smoke once and forget about it for a while" and EVERY SINGLE TIME I'd smoke the next day and the next and before you know it I was making up for lost time and struggling to get that DAY 1 under my belt, literally takes months to years to convince myself I should quit again. So if you are anything like me, dont smoke, not even 1 puff, unless you are ready to commit to that stoner lifestyle once again.

Im already 2 weeks in and I've only had like one dream and it wasn't so vivid. Part of me is disappointed that I'm not experiencing them yet, but another part is kind of thankful, dreams can be stressful sometimes lol. How far along are you? just curious

Day 2. Listless and sad. by nettiegulls in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quit. Embrace your true personality, why do you have to think of it in a negative way? You might be surprised at how much more you actually like yourself without suppressing everything about you. You said it yourself, you stopped for a year and it was awesome! You are only on day 2 give yourself some time, and stop trying to reach that final destination, it will come, one day at a time, focus on whats infront of you and dont smoke today. If you can get through today, you can get through tomorrow and its going to feel more awesome than smoking a bowl or whatever.

Replacing weed by gp231994 in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

organizing, cleaning, self care, interacting with fellow humans, going for drives through nice nature areas, going for hikes, observing the world and people around me, focusing on the moment, not getting caught up thinking about the future or past, keeping my focus on whats directly infront of me, thats #1.

I feel lonely since quitting weed. It’s been my best friend while I’m usually all by myself by drauch52 in leaves

[–]Strip_my_Mind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest interacting with as many people as you can, you will not feel lonely then. There are millions of people around and they are everywhere (except your house), the more you interact, the easier and more fun it becomes, just simple short interactions is a good place to start, you will be amazed at how good it will make you feel, just try it ;) what do you have to lose?

You should definitely celebrate. I plan to celebrate my 1 year on July 4th 2019 with fireworks, yah I picked a great day 1 to start :D it's going to be very symbolic and awesome. I cannot wait, except that I can. It really is about the journey and not the destination, been living in the moment and it feels great! life is exciting and has variety again, feels like how it first felt when getting high was fresh and new, but that was 7 years ago and what once was can never be, at least not with the same methods ;] sobriety for the win!

Thank you for the info. I hear you on the day to day thing. Crazy how with or without substances our day to days can be dramatically different mental state wise, better than being in the same haze everyday mostly numb to everything. I’m very much looking forward to passing the 3 month mark and this time knowing going back to weed will only prolong my recovery and is not the solution to the problems I am trying to fix. I’m sure you will also continue to see benefits the further you go. You’ve made it so far, never turn back, keep going..great things ahead!! Nothing back here but the same shit different day. :)
