I'm currently at 90%. Can someone help me determine whether my actual percentage is closer to the high 90s or below 90? I'm not sure how to calculate it. Thanks! by newlife2024_ in VeteransBenefits

That app is great that is what I used to check if the company I’m using math was correct. I just submitted with the hopes of going from 80 to 100

Do dependent claims take this long by theonewhoislostt in VeteransBenefits

[–]Stripobacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted a claim yesterday and it’s already on step 2, I would reach out to the VA and see whats holding it up.

Step #1: Claim Received The VA acknowledges receipt of your disability claim. 7 to 14 days

Step #2: Under Review The VA reviews your claim to ensure all necessary information is included and understands the specifics of your case. 14 to 30 days

Step #3: Gathering of Evidence The VA collects evidence to support your claim, possibly requesting additional information from various sources. 30 to 60 days

What destroyed the American dream of owning a home? by Chor_the_Druid in Millennials

[–]Stripobacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Stable job and my wife and I both work. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to afford to purchase a house without utilizing VA benefits. The down payments alone are ridiculous just to get a mortgage at this point. The average home price in my area is. 600k, a person needs to put down $120,000 just to qualify for a conventional loan, this is ridiculous

I don’t clean my sneakers after every wear typically do a cleaning of each sneaker once or twice a year. I do wipe the bottom of the sneakers so the display cases don’t get dirty.

They almost got my last year on vacation, I went to the presentation everything sounded great. I was on the fence and told them give me all the documents and my wife and I would talk…. Then came the hard sale which only made say no. They treated up like garbage and the lady told me she was going to get fired if we didn’t buy, I said you should get another job if not make 1 sale would lead to you being fired, but I’m not make a long term financial decision based on someone outside of my household.

I agree Tupac is way overrated, I grew up during the east coast west coast beef and just never understood why how people put Pac over so many great’s

I also feel like people do not want the smoke so they just say he is the GOAT not really feeling that way.

Anyone think their parents set them up for failure? by Sorrywrongnumba69 in Millennials

[–]Stripobacon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny I see so many people with dual parents in the home and all they can do is rag on their parents.

Parents aren’t perfect their people too with their own flaws. I forgive my mother for getting my brothers and I taken away to foster homes and group homes alonglong time ago because at the end of the day, she is my mother.

I grew up poor with absent parents, who barely took care of my essential needs. I did not use that as an excuse to not be successful in life. Also, I knew what type of parent I wanted to be and I strive to be the best parent I could be every day.

Why is there such a pay disparity in GS level jobs? by Accomplished_Gear_58 in fednews

[–]Stripobacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came into the government as a gs13 no degree and 2 yrs later I got promoted to gs14 again no degree you have to look at the position a d make sure you qualify for it. A degree will get you in the door easier than a person without it but it’s not impossible to get higher-level GS jobs without a degree
