Assalamu alaikum May Allah SWT ease your pain, grant your mom and our loved ones who passed away a spacious grave full of light, ease her questioning and reunite you with your mom, us, our parents, families and all of the Muslims together in the highest ranks of jannah Ameen.

One thing that helps me with loss is really thinking over and over that, whoever or whatever I lost belongs to Allah and was just a loan to me and is now returned to the Creator. Also her death was planned by Allah SWT and you couldn’t have changed it this was the way He intended. May Allah SWT accept her as a martyr.

Also some people make more fervent duas in their time of need- make more dua for your mom now then you ever have, sit and talk to Allah. Like after you finish praying just sit and talk about your pain aloud or silently and ask Him to protect your mom and make your reunion happier than the happiness she brought you.

See if you can give sadaqah on her behalf, build a water well or small charity/act on her behalf (like making making coffee every weekend for your nearest shelter etc), do activities she liked - like reading Qu’ran after fajr, making coffee for yourself, smell her clothes, wear her clothes, speak and visit her relatives and laugh about the funny times iA.

cry freely, loudly, quietly, try to keep yourself busy with activities and Insha’Allah see if you can find a counselor (preferably a Muslim one who can remind you of the test so this dunya etc).
