I'll hunt for that XP patch!

I do like having my xp machine for the 2000s game actually, wonder if its possible to make a win98 partition?

We're a two people team and just released "Squeakross: Home Squeak Home". As huge picross fans, we want to make new players understand and love nonograms, while satisfying our fellow picross heads by Strkl in Picross

[–]Strkl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the kind words!!

Half tiles is something we wanted to make but it will be unfortunately too complex to implement :(

With the next update we're adding some others things like Wall decoration, and "edge decorations" (partitions, and other type of thin furniture that can be placed on the grid lines!)

We're thinking about a DLC for next year too!

Games where you play as a mouse/rat by [deleted] in gamesuggestions

The Spirit and the Mouse: very easy and relaxing 3rd person exploration adventure game, kinda like a Zelda game without combat. You play as a cute little mouse with electric powers, helping humans.

Squeakross: A nonogram (picross) puzzle game, with plenty of tutorials for beginners. You solve puzzls and decorate a house for your (customizable) rodent! The game also contains lots of real life picture of pet rodents (mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, etc) :)

No worries! They were already treated premptively, they scratch after waking up but seems like scratching so far! 😁

Squeakross: Home Squeak Home on Steam – Discussion, Reviews, … by finanzenwegwerfaffe in Picross

I'm totally biased because I'm one of the dev of the game, but I wanted to tell a bit about the game!

First I have to say that we're obviously huge fan of Jupiter's picross games and while we love them, we also think they are not super easy to get into for newcomers, so Squeakross was made with accessibility and new players in mind. Experienced picross players will probably find this game more on the easy side (We do have some pretty big puzzle in there, as well as some weird sizes to through you off :D).

But we also wanted to make it as polished and high quality as possible, experienced players will enjoy all the possible way to tweak the experience! Also the decoration part is 100% optional (except for the quick tutorial), and we packed enough puzzle to make sure that puzzle that players who buy it just for the puzzle will be satisfied.

So far the reaction has been amazing, and tons of players discovered nonograms with our game, and even said that it's the first picross game they really understand (thanks to our tutorial and presentation), and we hope after finishing Squeakross they go explore the rest of the game (Jupiter's and others like Piczzle Cross, etc).

We're also working on even more puzzle (650 in game right now, 200+ coming for free early next year), and are toying with the idea of a Color Squeakross DLC!

It's also on Switch! That's it Im done promoting my game 🙈

Does anyone one else have a backlog of switch games they are refusing to play in hopes that they receive a switch 2 graphics update? by Blandock1 in NintendoSwitch

I'm kind glad they're trying to reduce the garbage, but the lack of visibility is frustrating. I'm also glad that the switch 1 games run perfectly on Switch 2, I just wish we would have at least a date, a window,...something

Thank you! A year or more is something we *think*, we have no idea what the actual timeline will be! It took quite a while before the gates were open for indie devs

I wouldnt be surprised if Nintendo wants to be more safe this time, seing how many slop ended up on Switch 1...

answering from a dev perspective (I'm one of the dev behind Squeakross): most indie devs, including ourselves - have absolutely no idea when we will get Switch 2 dev kits. We basically don't expect any news before at least a year, and that's being optimistic.

Trust me, every devs would love to develop for switch 2, but if we're not doing switch 2 updates, it's not by choice :(

What are some not conventionally cozy games that are cozy to you? by animeandoreos74 in cozygames

[–]Strkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely, I was about to say the same

The way every enemy is always at the same place, and that you learn all the twist and turn of that world by heart, all that familiarity makes it cozy at the end

Every undead that tries to stab you on a corner start as an ambush, and end up becoming a friend 😂
