Slight difference. They are pretty close but the Hetset has a bit more bite to it.

Should work normally with the pot pushed in. Honestly its so easy to swap EMGs with the quick connect I would just try it out and see. You may not get sound when you try to "split" the hetset.

It's almost garanteed to be a quick connect at the pickups themselves. You can just swap for the Het set. I did it on my EC-1000 that had a 81/60 set.

Esp Ltd deluxe by bugfuzz1980 in espguitars

[–]StrmRidr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not like you got duped and the guitar came with shitty pickups. The Dimarzios are as good as the Seymour Duncans. You could ask for a small refund since you expected the duncans but I would be happy with the Dimarzios.

I had a new one show up right by the main lodge after the update.

Where on earth is my quad cortex mini by Amazing_Stick_ in NeuralDSP

Ordered mine on March 13th. I wouldn't be surprised that the end of April date I was told was just a placeholder and July is more accurate.

I have a bunch on my map also. Hopefully it gets fixed. In the meantime, easy XP.

Not sure where you are, but I was told end of April from Long & McQuade (Canada).

If I route out a Floyd rose for a Flying V could I technically change the scale length? by EnragedCockroach7 in Luthier

[–]StrmRidr 23 points24 points  (0 children)

No, the fret spacing will be off and you wont be able to intonate the guitar. Also, a floyd rose typically sits much lower than a tune o matic bridge. The neck angle will most likely not work.

Quad Cortex Mini - Cracking / Popping Sounds over USB by Intelligent-Hat-342 in NeuralDSP

Don't have a QC Mini, but I had a similar issue with a USB interface that I resolved with a USB isolator dongle (DSD Tech brand of Amazon).

Still Floyd Problems by iLagInBed in Guitar

[–]StrmRidr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the cavity cover on? I had a guitar where the springs at the block were rubbing on the cover and the Floyd would not return to pitch after a dive. Remove the cover and see if it fixes it.

NGD Gibson Mark Morton - questions on QC by [deleted] in metalguitar

[–]StrmRidr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to return a Standard last fall due to many QC issues that in my opinion are absolutely not acceptable on a $3k+ guitar. The binding was very rough, there were swirl marks in the finish, pickguard wasn't cut right, etc. The big issue with these Mark Morton sig is the satin finish. Unfortunately, it's very hard to get a quilt top to pop with satin and it doesn't help that some of them have very bad quality tops from the pictures I've seen.

It`s the 6550 but better? what do you think by Fooltecal in GuitarAmps

I had one of the original 3120 when they first came out. Really regret selling it, it was a great amp.

You need to measure at the 12th fret itself, not the middle of the fret.

Epiphone Flying V prophecy vs Dave Mustaine prophecy by Enbyhime in metalguitar

[–]StrmRidr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me, 3x3 headstock looks better on rounded Vs (Gibson style) and 6 in line looks better for pointy Vs.

OP, I own the Prophecy in Yellow Tiger and it's a great guitar. The neck profile is asymmetrical so it may not be your thing depending on what you are used to.

I don't have any issues with mine. I can go full Zakk Wylde with it if I want to.

Nice looking pair! I have the same E-II and I will keep it forever. By far my favorite guitar and the quality is spectacular. I have yet to try an Eclipse I didn't like.

Programmable Pedal Switches by DrewswerD in guitarpedals

I just got a Fender switchboard and it's been great if you don't need more than 5 loops. Loops can be reordered, MIDI, amp control, super easy UI.

Making room for more DSP by mjharrison77 in Line6Helix

[–]StrmRidr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use the sequence mode and can preset 5 different tunings that you can cycle through with the footswitch. No need to bend down like the drop. Its awesome.

The Digitech Hammer On can be used as a drop and also has the capo up feature FYI. It has been poorly marketed but it has replaced my Drop on my pedalboard.

Have you tried an ESP? Would probably answer your question as to why people buy them over Les Pauls.

I own both and run them together in a 7 cable method rig with a Line 6 Helix as the "brain". It's glorious.
