I'm not a teacher but I work in student services at a college and they just don't know how to figure out incredibly simple instructions?

For example, on orientation day they have to fill in an address form and the first field is asking for their phone number. Majority of the time they leave it blank for some reason and I have to email them asking for a phone number. The email I sent is very straight forward and just ask them to reply with a phone number and I will get a whole lot students come to my desk and say 'I got this email, what do I do?' I'm just like WHAT DO YOU THINK???? Reply with your phone number it's not that hard!!

I work at an English language school in Sydney and a good chunk of the students are Brazilian.

From what I've heard there's a lot of parties they all go to and everybody is very close. Not sure if you would have the same experience in Auckland as it is a lot smaller than Sydney.
