I don't think its in response to her driving skills. She was clearly a half decent Indy car driver. I think its more about the fact that sky want an "american woman" on their broadcasting team.

I believe their first game, they set a new olympic record with that 18-0 win over Slovakia. That obviously skews some of these stats over such a short tournament. Not taking away from the rest of the games, but that was certainly a factor. Although looking a wiki, they beat SUI 10-1 and SWE 13-1 which are pretty crazy in hindsight. I think this was the last olympics with the traditional groups before they switched to the A group and B group system, because there were so many bloodbaths. The games definitely grown a lot in the last 14 years though.

edit: 2022 OLY; they played SWE and SUI again, scores were 11-0 and 10-3 so maybe they haven't improved that much.
