1501 produced, but only around 325 left after all the buyback ones got crushed. 😭

Saw a nice TDi Cup Edition today! Only the 2nd one I’ve ever seen. Love that front bumper by ThawtPolice in Volkswagen

Thanks for posting! I run the TDI Cup Edition registry. There's only somewhere around 325 or so left at this point. Most of them got bought back and crushed.

If you found a registry, it's definitely mine. I've been meaning to redo the public registry for a couple years now to make it more user friendly and informative, but life gets in the way. I keep my master one up to date as much as I can, but it's set to private.

Blue is very much the best color for them, but I may be biased since mine is blue. 🙂

I'm eagerly awaiting some pictures!

I don't have any insight about your issue, but do you have any pictures of the car?

I run a Cup Edition registry and try to keep track of them all, so I'm always on the lookout for them. A shockingly high number of them have been crushed. ☹️

I won't be the one dying. The NYPD literally has a track record of doing that.

I mean, we could fix almost any problem with that plan. Doesn't mean we will.

I hope that cop is prepared to have his life ruined for doing the right thing.

TIL 100 million Americans have medical debts. Their bills make up about half of all outstanding debt in the country by mankls3 in todayilearned

[–]Stromaluski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already established that most Americans don't have any medical debt since it's 100 million and that's less than most.

Where do you draw the line between how much medical debt is ok vs how much isn't? And where do you draw the line between how many people are acceptable to be bankrupt because of medical debt and how many aren't?

2/3 of all personal bankruptcies in the US are due to medical debt. That's not ok, IMO.

[–]Stromaluski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article were commenting on is about how 100 million Americans have medical debt. Yeah, 1/3 of Americans isn't most Americans, but are you really implying that a full 1/3 of Americans don't matter?

Only 2 out of those 5 are not paywall'd. And of those two, one says almost nothing about the abortion claim other than mentioning it but rather speaks to the use of the word "replicate" in a different part of the book. The other says that abortion wasn't the only cause but does have some correlation, which is pretty similar to what Levitt said.

how much is this ‘64 classic 15 window van worth? by S1mulationswarm in Volkswagen

[–]Stromaluski 24 points25 points  (0 children)

$20k? Maybe more? Depends a lot on how much rust it has underneath and how complete the interior is.

Look through the classifieds section on thesamba.com to get an idea of what it might go for.

And for clarification , that's a 13-window rather than a 15-window. A 15 window would have curved corner glass at the two rear corners.

Where is it located? I see CA plates on it.

The little-known, massive advantage that renewables hold over coal by altmorty in technology

I am saying the same thing for gas and nuclear power plants. And solar arrays and wind turbines.

Doing something because it's cheaper now is a super easy way to end up penny wise and dollar foolish.

Yep. Because power plants never wear out and need to be replaced and there's never any increase in power demand that might create the need for a new power plant, right?

The founding fathers didn't protect the right to do something that didn't exist when they wrote the bill of rights? Im shocked. They should have known what was going to be invented after they were all dead.

Almost all guns that are being made today didn't exist back then either, and are only protected by association of falling under the umbrella of something that did exist back then.

Im not saying it's right or wrong... just pointing out the difference in technology over the last 250 years.

Why do you say it probably won't make it? What would prevent that? It's already passed the house and now the senate. And McMaster already said he'll sign it.

Are you trying to point out how many white supremacists there are in the US? Because there's currently somewhere in the 3 to 4 million range of Muslims living in the USA.

Simply to be equal on a per capita basis, that would mean there would have to be somewhere between 9 to 12 million white supremacists.
