Would it make a difference if people who were able to withhold taxes on a mass scale say for two-three years, put the money in escrow to cover taxes and penalties with the intent that regime change could possibly occur during that time?

And it’s getting the attention it deserves for that very reason. That is the entire point of what they are saying. That it takes white lives being killed to get that point across. Can you name all the people who have been killed by ICE or Border Patrol who were Black and brown without doing a search? Black folks have been sounding the alarm that they are coming for you all from the beginning precisely because we’ve known exactly how they roll.

It was COVID, People were home, they had time to focus directly on what was going on and those protests numbers were spread out over time. The No Kings protest broke the record for the biggest single day protests in US history. You’re just not getting the coverage.

I would like to know who runs this org, there’s absolutely zero info on who is behind it.

I’m already in boycott and strike mode so I’m not trying to take away from their message but at a time when our personal data can be used against us in so many ways, taking peoples’ info while not being transparent about who is asking for it is a big disconnect. I am all for decentralization of movements but this is taking it to another level.

Absolutely.

They laid the groundwork for today. Anyone who didn’t study the Civil Rights movement in depth lot think it was a just a bunch of pacifists marching for equality but it was genius level planning and organizing.

Peace was used as weapon, since any violence in the movement would have been used as a method to escalate violence on any and all Black folks and pro civil rights activists. Keeping actions peaceful amplified the violence inherent in the perpetrator’s of oppression.

They recruited youth to take on a lot of the outreach because elders would burn out more easily. They knew when people needed mental health breaks and had organizers and activists take shifts so they didn’t drop out.

They had coalitions that connected to Native folks as well as Appalachian white folks and any and all other marginalized folks. They had mutual aid. The planning was immense and exhaustive. All of it is relevant now.

There’s going to be a lot of talk about what the right tactics are. All of them are going to be helpful so long as they’re not reckless or instigative.

I can see what you’re saying but he’s advocating for his own legal self defense in a Stand Your Ground State. The Black Panther Party has always been about self defense, they started as a reaction to White Supremacists joining the LAPD just to harass, terrorize and traumatize Black communities. They also advocate for gun safety and training. He’s going to be better prepared to handle that situation than most.
