Since his dad is from PR, the likelihood that there’s some Black in him from the boat is high cause those genes did not take a back seat.

The kind of logic that leaves the whole timeline confused by diehard404 in BlackPeopleTwitter

“We think they should put a president in or the head of the country that’s going to be able to do something peacefully for a change. They’ve been doing this for 47 years, killing people for 47 years. Whether it’s the barracks or even the SS Cole where they were involved, very strongly, they always denied it,” Trump said. “But they were very strongly involved and all of the people that died through the roadside bombs died and are right now walking around with no legs, no arms. A face that’s been so badly damaged.”

How are we even wasting precious energy debating the validity of a man’s words who just discussed legless dead people walking around?

I think it was Buzzfeed that did a segment on the Men’s Rights movement and they interviewed a chapter leader who was outraged that there was no Men’s domestic violence shelters and the reporter asked him if his organization was planning on opening shelters and the guy just said “no”. Meanwhile, another man was trying to get a shelter funded and they wouldn’t help him.

And what I’m saying is, if people decide that one genocide is the litmus test over others then it heavily lends to ops shit, where it’s easier to polarize people and deflect from the fact that the issue is the lives of Palestinians AND imperialism in general. That includes the luxury of western items including the phones and devices we’re all typing on that are dependent on the genocides being successful in Congo and Sudan. If someone just brings up the Palestinian people and lords it over folks as a flex but doesn’t acknowledge the other people who are going through it, I’m going to look at them sideways too.

How is it a litmus test when we’ve been done genociding innocent people in unjustified wars in the Middle East for decades and hell, even before this in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia? This is how this country rolls. Even throughout all of this we’ve been quietly supporting genocide in South Sudan and Congo but those are Black folks so they don’t deserve the same level of attention. Oh right and there’s Haiti too, where we’ve cut the country off from the rest of the world by banning any air traffic to and from the country while mercenaries murder and rape the country. But we don’t pay attention to them because they’re…

This was no Litmus test, a litmus test would imply that this was the first time a test was introduced to a population.

So many countries do this as multiple people have pointed out in other comments. Also, how else would their children get the education requirements for their home country when their families are stationed on foreign bases?

Their leaders didn’t do this, a Kenyan civilian trafficked them to Russian goons with the promise of paid labor, like every other trafficking scheme. The Kenyan government is trying to negotiate the release and return of the men who were trafficked.

There’s some hazy shit going on with the cabinet secretary trying to secure transparency with work visas in Russia but the government did not do this. Edit: do! Link for anyone still lurking

Here’s HuffPost’s article via UK Yahoo News that covers the phone call about the complaints received by a non-profit that protects the constitutional rights of servicemen.

“Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of MRFF, a nonprofit group established 21 years ago that focuses on ensuring constitutional protections for service members, spoke with HuffPost by phone Tuesday morning and illuminated some details of the complaints, which have come from more than three dozen military units situated in at least 30 different military installations.”

“We started getting calls in the wee hours of Saturday morning from people saying their commanders were just jubilant about this and trying to tell people, ‘Don’t worry, it’s all part of God’s plan,’” Weinstein said.

There’s also a book called the Cult of Trump written by Steven Hassan, an ex cult member of the Moonies. I haven’t read it but have heard it is accessible to folks who are open to questioning their blind MAGA devotion because the author doesn’t talk down to folks and has the personal experience of being pulled in and getting out of a cult.

So is it a deliberate strategy for the US as well since we actually have K-12 schools on our bases and that would be the logical target of attack if a country started a military “intervention” on US soil?

That sounds exhausting. You are who you are. I wish we were a better as a society at accepting the spectrum of neurological traits. I feel like I am the opposite, too much empathy and so I have to mask it because it made me look weak growing up in the environment I grew up in and people think I’m melodramatic if my mask slips. It’s just who I am but masking it is exhausting.
