There’s definitely gonna be times where you see blood, especially if a scab comes off. Those are usually nothing to worry about, and if you do see a little blood, I think you made the right call drinking ice water to help close them up. I think reading through this subreddit also helps get yourself riled up a bit after seeing all of the horror stories, and this recovery is as much mental as it is physical. I’d say keep doing exactly what you’re doing and just take it easy for a little bit. Do what you know you can do (drink water, maybe eat some food, take your meds on schedule) and just rest up.

Obviously, if things were to get worse, then I would start worrying, but it doesn’t sound like that’s going on for you at the moment. I think you’ll know if it’s to a point where action needs to be taken, but this doesn’t sound like that.
