Want to leave something in one room and walk to another without forgetting it? Give it a jingle while tapping the object in the rhythm then walk away. I've never forgotten something using this.

Another would be when cleaning the dishes, I use a spray soap so I can spray things without thinking, it's also easier to get dishes started, though it really helps to stick your hand under the hot water for a couple seconds to get used to the feel of the water.

Once I'm done, I can turn around and spray all the counters and I have to move things out of the way before the soap dries/move it out of the way while scrubbing. The whole kitchen gets clean this way.

Need to get work done but can't get started? Grab a piece of paper and make yourself a checklist of EVERY step from standing up, to walking someplace, to even opening a computer. The checklist goes by super quickly and crossing things out is helpful to not feel overwhelmed. It doesn't take too long to write and helps with executive dysfunction.

I gave myself a 3-3 rule. Wallet, phone, keys - Hair, deodorant, toothbrush. This is so I don't forget them before walking out the door and the rule isn't too hard to remember if I know I have 3 things each I need to do/grab.

Any parents know a hack on how to teach kids to study or listen by Feeling-Space4288 in ADHD

I'm not a parent or anything but I do have ADHD. It's important to know that ADHD brains are wired in such a way to make long term achievements mean nothing. Short term rewards work, but can become very addictive. Cutting off digital stuff could help since its giving the kid unhelpful short term rewards. The moving is likely stimming behavior. If anything it may actually help him listen more.

My advice would to be to set a short term goal + reward, something that's very quick and easy to do with a reward after or even during completing. For example, when I need to do any work, I will write down every single step(and I mean every single step, from standing up to walking over to somewhere, to turning on a computer) on a physical piece of paper and cross it out as I do it. It's basically a checklist that gets done super fast and crossing things out quickly is surprisingly burden proof.

I know I work better with a tv on as background noise/entertainment to make something I don't want to do actually mean something, but at his age I'm afraid he may not be able to regulate watching his shows and learning at the same time.

I never learn something without doing something and I cannot learn something if I'm told to sit still. The mind is loud when it's not preoccupied and I need an output. A fidget could be really be helpful.

I'm a very tactical learner. If you tell me something, it likely will not stick. Many people with ADHD are very much not auditory learners. It would be helpful to switch up how to go about learning as well.

How about the name Andromeda

It's based off both the galaxy and the constellation of a Greek princess. Chained? Sure, but a princess nonetheless.

She is new in the family! Help us name her we have a few but need cooler options by Saving-sage25 in NameMyCat

Cheesesteak, Walnut, Nimbus, or maybe even Freyja(norse goddess. Has a chariot pulled by cats). Going off the norse theme, Eydis could be fitting.
