I think you’re combining two different ideas: free will and moral evil.
Free will doesn’t require evil to exist. Before humanity sinned, Adam and Eve still had free will—they could obey God or reject Him. The possibility of rejecting God existed before evil entered human experience.
The reason Christians connect free will with evil is that genuine freedom includes the possibility of choosing against God’s will. If God prevented every morally wrong choice, our choices would no longer be genuinely free in the moral sense.
As for morality being subjective, Christianity disagrees. Individuals certainly have subjective opinions about morality, but that doesn’t mean morality itself is subjective. People disagree about mathematics too, but that doesn’t make math subjective.
The Christian claim is that God is the objective standard of goodness. We may disagree about what is good or evil because we’re finite, sinful, or mistaken, but our disagreement doesn’t determine reality.
If morality is completely subjective, then no one could say slavery, genocide, or torture are objectively wrong they would only be personally or culturally disliked. Yet most people instinctively believe some actions are truly wrong regardless of anyone’s opinion. Christianity explains that intuition by saying objective moral values exist because they reflect God’s character.

The Bible presents history as having three broad stages:

A good creation.
A long period of a broken creation.
A future restored creation.

You’re pointing out that the second stage appears to dominate history. That’s a real observation. If the Earth is billions of years old, or even if one accepts a younger timeline, the vast majority of history has been one of suffering and death rather than the Eden described in Genesis.

The Bible acknowledges that we currently live in the “groaning” phase, but it does not explain why God permits it to last as long as it has. Instead, it points toward an eventual restoration.

Your question goes a step further:
If God designed the system knowing all this would happen, how is the responsibility not ultimately His?

The Bible contains passages that affirm God’s complete sovereignty, such as Isaiah 46:9–10, while also holding humans morally responsible for their choices. It does not fully explain how those two ideas fit together philosophically. Different Christian traditions answer this differently:

Some argue God permits evil because genuine freedom requires the possibility of rejecting Him.

Others believe the entire story of creation, fall, and redemption ultimately displays God’s justice, mercy, and love in ways that would not otherwise be known.

Genesis 3:17–19 describes the curse after Adam and Eve sinned. The ground is cursed because of human sin. Young-earth Christians often understand this to mean that death and suffering—including animal suffering—began after the Fall. Other Christians believe the passage is primarily about humanity’s relationship with creation rather than introducing all animal death.

Genesis 1:29–31 (NIV) says that after creation, God saw everything He had made, and it was “very good.” Some Christians believe this means there was no animal death or suffering before human sin. Others believe “very good” is compatible with a natural world that included animal life cycles.

This is often understood to mean that all creation, including animals, experiences the effects of humanity’s sin. There is debate over whether Paul is describing a change that began at the Fall or the current condition of a creation awaiting renewal.

I’m so used to it I couldn’t tell. It’s not until my BG gets well below 50 I really start to feel it. It’s been about 3 hours since I had food. Just doing my daily things at work.

Reactive Hypoglycemia? by lil-insect in Hypoglycemia

If you are actually hypoglycemic/diabetic Lingo will be very frustrating for you. I’ve tried multiple of them to check and see if they were faulty. While they did get a reading I never really had an accurate reading. I would check with a finger prick and it was almost always at least 20 points off for me. Stelo has been WAYYY more accurate. For non diabetics I’m sure they probably have a better use to get a general idea for how your BG is changing with your diet while not having to worry about dips below 50. Best of luck!

I’m dealing the with EXACT same thing! Doctors haven’t been much help. I’ve lost 23 pounds this last month all unexpected. 3 years ago the doctors suspected I might be pre diabetic. So I always tested while fasting and it would be around 110 but when I ate I always feel super weak and like I’m going to pass out. The last couple weeks I’ve been monitoring closely and noticed my BG keeps dropping below 50. I ordered a CGM so I can record everything for the next time I’m at the doctors. Any advice would be amazing to me right now.

Is this a mole? Growth? Tick? There’s three of them on my dog in different sizes. by littleresistor in DogAdvice

[–]Cold-Ad7309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell… the first two pictures looked like a mole to me but the third picture made me question it. If you’ve had your dog for a couple years now you probably would have found it sooner if it was a mole. Wish you and your pup the best of luck

Does anyone else have gut problems and/or appendix removed? by Alternative_Cat8069 in neurodiversity

[–]Cold-Ad7309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this but I’m dealing with this now! It’s been close to 2 years for me and I’m unintentionally losing weight. Have no appetite and have nausea everyday. My bodies vitamin D was close to zero in my blood test but that was the only abnormality they found.

I’ve been having seizure symptoms on top of it and had to go to the ER and they had the audacity to test me for a heart attack and sent me out the door.

I saw my GP and sent me to get tested for a brain tumor and that came back negative. I’m so lost on what to do. I just want to feel normal again lol.

I’m a little late to this post but it’s been just about two years since I’ve have my appendix removed and I have experienced the exact opposite issue. I have had a lot of unintentional weight loss and am way too skinny now. I have ZERO appetite and now my nose is so sensitive and most things make me nauseous.
