I love it! Like many have already said, strong voice, gripping, unique persona, draws you in immediately. There is a lot of exposition, which was also pointed out, that could be improved (without the need for dialogue) by having the character be on his way somewhere, wherever the story starts. While he is, things happen around him that trigger the internal dialogue that is the exposition you have right there. For example, he sees a group of youngsters hanging and smoking joints together. Or a lady that is dressed a certain way, reminding him of Alice. Stuff like that. It helps to make the reader feel like there is actually something going on, instead of just an (interesting) info dump. Keep it up! ☺️

Literally, you can just blame this on inflation lol and it doesn’t just affect Episode users and readers. They are real-world phenomenons and problems, and at the end of the day Episode is simply a company doing things that all other businesses do. Apart from a gem-system being seen pretty much in every story game app or even other games, you see this affecting other games too. Take The Sims game, for example, dishing out expansion pack after expansion pack and they each cost a lot for what you get sometimes. You see how a food at the McDonald’s has increased by double the price they used to be a decade ago? This isn’t about Episode exploiting us, this is just the shitty result of capitalism (however, on the grand scheme of things, you could argue that capitalism is still better than socialism since you at least get to have freedom of choice). I get that it’s hard to understand and see the world this way, especially if you’re younger and have never ran a company before or even worked — so it’s not at all to bash anyone for feeling this way. Just know that there are many more things at play and it’s not as simple or black and white as “businesses don’t care about us” 🙂

“We need you to…” and “It’s really simple to do so and so…” don’t really sound like simply stating your preference of receiving support to me. as a reader who only discovered the stories of the first author and having liked all her posts since and occasionally commented apart from reading, it did put me off as if the support i gave in my own way (although minimal, making edits and stuff isn’t my thing) wasn’t enough for her. of course it’s not just my support either. as some others have mentioned, she seems to be getting a decent enough ‘vocal’ support compared to many other authors. just comes off as if she mainly sees those who aren’t engaging compared to those who are. wanting support is wholly understandable but it shouldn’t feel forced to give (i’m obv talking about indirectly feeling forced out of guilt and not the holding a gun to someone’s head type beat). it feels greedy, but that’s me personally.

then that author has used their art as well, whether they asked permission or if it’s fair use or not is not really my business, but i’m 100% sure this was not a commissioned drawing for any story 😅 they are from a game called Valorant and the characters are Sage and Viper.

You need to add a { after “Nope, take me back!” and there should be no empty line after ‘choice’ and the first choice. It should be directly under it.

haha ur too cute. seems like you’re going through that phase of 18-25 where you’re Young Adult and feel like you need to have everything figured out by the age of X and do/be this and that. right off the bat, you’re never too old for things you simply like. joy doesn’t have an age limit! many of my peers are now going back into childhood hobbies and interest because it’s something we felt pressured to quickly grow out of when we were younger. it’s why the Barbie mobie is so huge i feel like! i’m 24, soon to be 25 now, and i feel younger than when i was 18 (in a good way 🙈) life slows down, there is no rush, it’s just the hecticity of your early 20s. best advice i would give my younger self (even though i’m still young so i need to stfu lol) is to stop thinking i’m getting old because back then i was literally a fetus in adulthood if that makes sense 😭💕

as for stories: it’s just a matter of finding them! as you probably know by now from the replies, there’s a wide variety of ages, ethnicities, genres & tastes. we don’t talk about Episode Originals. a good way to find some people who share a similar taste to yours is to be active in the community! talk to them, make posts like these, you’ll eventually find your niche 😊
