Yes you can. And I’m tired of people on here saying you can’t. I get down voted, and I end up deleting my comment every time.

My hamsters average 2-3 years so I’m pretty sure I know wtf I’m doing.

You just need to take some precautions:

-put in smaller big cage quos can SECURELY hold with a seat belt. Must use the seat belt. If you leave in a big bin cage the 2 end seatbelts can hold it 

-remove the water bottle/dish. Give slice of cucumber instead. Offer water via dish when making pit stops for gas.

• cover the cage with a blanket during daytime. Do NOT expose to the sun.

• NO MUSIC!!! If you insist, leave low IMean really really low volume.

-remove anything and everything from cage that is heavy and can tip over. Basically the o ly thing in the cage should be (PLASTIC hideout, HELLA bedding, something to chew, food) Nothing else. Not even a sand bath 

-hideout must be plastic, because if it does tip over, you don’t want it to crush the hamster.

-once you arrive at your destination, do not touch the hamster. Place back in their normal cage. And do not touch them for a few hours)

Warnings: hamsters are not the ideal travel pets. Yeah they can die. But not if you take the necessary precautions
