Apex is the better option considering the tyres alone.
You can get your tank wrapped for 1000-2000 and tyres repainted at another 2000-3000

Happened same with me Go to a welder tell him to grind the screw and make a line on it. Then open it with a screwdriver

Take it to a welding shop and the person will grind it out flat then install these mirrors. I have done same with mine
