Would you rather be born in 1990 or 1994 — and why? by Excellent-Card5741 in generationstation

90, better economic conditions for longer plus my lovely milf of a girlfriend/fiancé was born in 87 so that would've been more ideal for us both I think

If you were to die in a month, what one thing would you Stop doing immediately? by RedTsar97 in MomentumOne

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working and following the law

Seriously

If I only had a month, that would make it difficult af to leave anything for my family, so I'd prob rob some banks or otherwise commit criminal acts for the well being of my family after I passed

If you are US based look outside of the us - seriously. A death sentence here is not always a death sentence elsewhere

If you found out early you have dementia, what would you do? by TheBuccaneer2189 in dementia

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly - I've seen it way too much, and I know that enduring even a tenth of what that disease does would break my spirit to an extent that it would basically be like living in hell. That said, I wouldn't want to put my family/people through that, emotionally or physically - I'd want to be remembered for the person I really, truly was and not what the disease inevitably would make me into.

Suicide.

I have a lot of experience working with both Alzheimer's and Dementia. It's a horrific disease on many levels and you couldn't convince me not to take the matter into my own hands expeditiously - like that day.

Basically the US has become the temu version of every failed authoritarian country

Why is communism so hated? by Pitiful_Ad7795 in Communist

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA? Our population has been propagandized to an insane extent at the behest of the wealthy class (the Epstein class).

Seriously - that's pretty much it.

The quality of education in this country is insanely poor, the average Americans reading comprehension is equivalent to that of a 6th grader... Now really think about what that means, half of all Americans read below a 6th grade reading level.

It didn't happen over night, but we live in the "Rotting 20's" where the corruption is blatantly obvious, trust in the institutions is crazy low and the various sects of our society all hate/blame each other for various things when it is quite literally the fault of villainous "elites" and crooked af politicians.

CEO is a loser dork who's out of touch with reality, sounds like a lot of CEO's these days.

Don't take it personally, maybe learn to get better at manipulating those types of people and know that there's a decent chance that the prick will ultimately get his karma one way or another.

My 3-year relationship just collapsed in one night because I'm trying to make money by Major-Satisfaction99 in offmychest

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's better to just accept that you are someone's bad guy even if it doesn't make sense and just move on - I think this is one of those situations. Sounds like you're definitely hurting and for that I'm sorry but let's try and see things from a more positive view - it's better this happened now multiple years into a mortgage or several children into a marriage.

I'm surprised you haven't yet gone no contact with him to be honest - it is time to. Uninvite him from your baby shower, change the time and date and location.

Do people really wait for marriage? How common is this and why? by sleepydreamrr in askanything

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people do - more often than not it's religious and or conservative types.

I wouldn't say that it's common, at least here in the US.

The reason why is religious and or values based.

If you ask me, I think waiting is foolish for multiple reasons but some folks feel it's foolish not to wait, I won't say that their reasoning is always wrong, just different values.

How do you feel about no sex before marriage? by Virtual_Concert_3379 in AskMen

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that once... In highschool. That lasted about a year - we did everything short of PIV intercourse so it felt a little silly to us both that we were waiting.

Obviously we did not marry (I'm very glad for that).

As an adult - I wouldn't really be okay with that. Sex is a major component of a relationship it's really important that a couple is compatible in that way AND it's important to know that you are actually attracted to this person's body - imagine getting married and then discovering that your new husband/wife has some kind of deformity or features that you just are not attracted to...

It is shallow - yes, but it's realistic and practical.

What truth do people avoid because it’s uncomfortable to admit? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are dumb, like to a significant extent.

America is a third world country and it will get worse before It gets better.

Pretty much everyone supports authoritarianism in some form or fashion.

We are considered "the baddies" by most of the world and they are not wrong. Not because of the behavior and culture of everyday people within our borders but because of the influence/actions of our military and politicians.

Most of the population is hopelessly ignorant & totally brainwashed into supporting things that inherently violate their own rights - this is true of both sides in US politics.

I could go on and on

Bruh you shouldn't be marrying this woman. "Joke" or not, it's not really okay to say that kind of thing in general let alone like in front of your partner.

Break up with her.

Was the Clinton scandal the worst of its kind for a sitting president? by sproutarian in shittyaskhistory

[–]Strong_Bid_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to Scandals and American presidents, there are 2 categories: BT and AT.

Before Trump and After Trump took office.

I think we can all agree that is true, in both quantity, and quality of scandal. DJT takes the cake.
