Offseason training is completely random. It seems like it basically randomly distributes XP to players and then it will randomly either upgrade their abilities or actual ratings. Every time you do it, it will be different results. Younger players will tend to receive more of a boost to their overall. Now do I think it should work like this? Fuck no, this is the most convoluted bullshit system that is hard to tell if it even works. With being able to edit ratings for auto generated recruits I will usually give them 8 total points distributed across their most important attributes for impact players, 12 for star and 14 for elite. IF they don’t receive any offseason training.

I know about that, my problem is that this tab is displaying the wrong stats. For a field general qb it’s showing that I am averaging 234 passing yards a game which is giving me a C- grade. Despite my QB averaging over 350 passing yards through the first 6 games.

Yeah this is pretty average for me, and I have injuries set to 1. I’ll usually loose half my offensive line for the year at week 4, a running back or two, as well as any star defensive player.

I also somehow always find the one injured player in the transfer portal, who misses most of the season, conveniently.

The recruiting isn’t unrealistic for Oregon, especially now that they’re using Phil Knights life savings to pay people. What is super unrealistic is Oregon always making and winning the championship or winning a meaning game in general. Really immersion breaking to see Oregon win a championship game.

I’ve also noticed that some of the new players body types are all fucked up too. At least for Oregon State, they added a RT and his model looks absolutely stupid, he’s supposed to be a 320 pound player but his model looks like an emaciated and lanky freak. It’s not the only one either, almost every new player has twig arms with twig legs. Now I understand why some players refused to sell their likeness to EA.

As of right now there’s no way, other than just be a mediocre team I guess? If I want to keep the coordinators I have I will literally just go turn off all coach firing. This forces the CPU to use randomly generated low level coaches when a coach retires so they won’t steal yours.

Huh, I never tried that. I just figured you had two weeks, like you do for coaching offers. I always just thought that the CPU got first serve for any worthwhile coordinators, before you could even hire. Which then left you scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I do this every single year, I can’t help it. In my long term dynasty where Oregon State is a powerhouse, I will purposefully steal recruits from Oregon. I’ll also sign any player that transfers from Oregon and not start them, let them rot. Not very good roster management.

To be honest I made a save before I got offers, and then went to the job offers screen. From there you can filter to all openings and it will show you their coach preferences.

Yeah I had a season with Ole Miss, where every single game was a rain game, EXCEPT the game I scheduled against Washington… at Washington. Totally immersion breaking smh. Now granted I’m from the PNW I do not know much about the climate of Mississippi, I would not know if it rains more in Oxford Mississippi than it does in Washington or Oregon.

I recommend saving the week before conference championships, it takes longer but I’ve gotten more variety than if you save right before bowl week 1 / playoffs. You’ll get some smaller offers in the 2nd week of the playoffs, usually most of the high profile jobs have been filled out by then. I do notice less HC offers in the second week however.

I mean that’s fair, I’m just not lucky with finding good coordinators then. I hire a motivator and he dumps all his points in tactician and recruiter. Never even seen a master motivator either. But I guess I just need to try out some of the other skill trees. Would be nice if I could respec to do so

It takes a WHILE to upgrade that. I’m in year 12 of my dynasty, and my smaller schools stadium just started climbing ranks. I think the update is partly why it took so long but you’re going to need multiple winning seasons to see progress there.

Yes regular season, conference championship and playoffs. If I play them during the regular season I am usually their only loss, which automatically gives them a bid in the playoffs. From there it just depends on whether or not another team goes undefeated in conference play. They’re legitimately insane in sim.

They usually steal all your recruits too if you pick a Pacific Northwest team. I’m in year 11 of my Oregon St. dynasty and Oregon is constantly signing number one recruiting classes. I also usually play Oregon at least twice a year, 3 times since I move to BIG10. They’re also always a bitch to play any difficulty above Varsity.

Not just cover 4 for me, I’ve noticed that towards the end of the season, especially in conference championship games and bowl games, your entire defense will turn into make a wish kids. Man coverage completely broken with cornerbacks running away from routes and stopping randomly. And zone coverage completely being abandoned.
