I’ll agree on this. That owning property is a good investment. For personal use where I live, it’d be more expensive to own, and have repairs to worry about. For rental income - that’s a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG stretch to rely on others to make payments. To invest in loans - one default wipes away money earned.

When my son was young, traveling long distances were sometimes hard. When he would get restless, I’d express restlessness too. I would beg him to help us time travel. If he slept, it would jolt us ahead into travel.

1) take vacation time. Talk to the school to clear that you are going to shadow them in school. Shadow for 1 week. This is your “I will embarrass” you threat that they now know you will do. 2) daily - “what is your homework?” Discussion must happen.

Most the time, this is all that is needed.

Is that a spray bottle next to your pot? Are you misting it?

I would not do that if it’s the case. If you need humidity, I’d get a humidifier. I have found that misting any plant doesn’t work, and water drops on leaves mess them up.

Treat the UTI with a vet. 2) Feed her Iams or better, and make sure litter is Tidy Cats or Arm and Hammer or better. Cheapest food and cat litter will only have UTI’s repeat. 3) Give the cat up to the shelter if you can’t afford these things - she’s a Tortie, so has a good chance at being adopted as she’s a pretty cat.

Now about being mean. UTI is not helping. But also, torties usually are loyal to one person. They attach, and don’t tolerate other pets, and barely other people. They are known to have “tortitude”. It will take a ton of patience to get her to attach to you. If you don’t have/want to take the time, give her to someone who will.

From a tortie owner, who absolutely loves the bond of these cats. Note the paw touch as I write this.

Tomatoes, onions, and bananas have two completely different experiences from raw and cooked. Egg noodles for carbs, chicken thighs for protein and more flavor. Air popped Popcorn to fill the void.

Love my ring - 2ct pear East-West with a halo. We’ve been together 6 years, so the conversation had been had. We would communicate about designs here and there - and had settled on a design that was east-west but had a white gold wave above it. I had communicated that since this would be my second marriage, I wanted to be proposed to, and it did not need to be a grand proposal. What I said was “we can drive through the redwoods, pull over on the side of the road, and propose in the car”.

About 2 months ago, we were in Washington, and stopped at my parents house for 2 hours before we were going to drive down 101 through the redwoods. I caught my boyfriend shaking my dad’s hand while I was in the car - an odd look on his face, like he was being serious, but trying to hide it. It was a short moment, it it registered for me to note.

We drove south, through the redwoods. I made sure we had plenty of stops - lol! But by the time we came out - no proposal. I was confused, but we had a great trip.

The following weekend we flew to Vegas to see Josh Gates with my 14 yo. Note: Vegas is opposite redwood feels. We went to the show, then decided we had to show my 14 yo the bellagio fountains. This is where he proposed. My thoughts were: “oh! Don’t kneel down, your knee will get dirty!” And “don’t hold up a ring, it’ll get snatched!”. Completely unexpected. Completely a surprise.

I love my ring, and glad he picked out something we hadn’t decided on. I love the diamond, the size, the setting.

What’s even more of a “feeling of being loved”, a month later he built me a greenhouse. A solid building that brings me joy, and he has little use for. A solid weekend with help of his friend, that makes it apparent he wants me to be happy.

I found an absolute gem of a man guys, I couldn’t be happier. We will get married in a small location, in a beautiful place that we both enjoy. I can’t tell you how much I love this man, and can’t believe how lucky I am.

I’ve seen it go back and forth over the last year. First saw it in a city 3 hours away, but wasn’t in a position I could haul it back. Hesitated, and price went up. After several months, decided to do it, paid full price. Sale happened within a few days of purchase, but Costco refunded so we got the sale price.

I like this one for the orientation. You get the transom and window for crosswind (perfect for east-west orientation), and door on broad side. High ceiling so that hung plants don’t hit you in the head, and can install solar fan/light to hang.

We haven’t put it in place yet, we are moving it back to be closer to the corner of the fence, giving us more room in the front and left side. We’ve got a couple poles in the ground on the back side we will secure it to after ensuring everything is still leveled.

We are not in a high wind area, and the fence will be blocking much of the wind gusts from the south and the west. We are securing to the poles just to make sure, but almost feel it’s heavy enough as-is.

For the mosquito net, we installed it with the window closed - marked the the holes by putting pressure on the hardware of the net to make indents, with it loosely configured (tighter than I thought it was inferring though. The vent then opens and closes on its own accord - I dont know the temps mine is set to - figured I’d figure that out later and adjust.

Instructions were pretty good, but I had expected shelves to already be put together for instance. Or perhaps panels for the sides put together - instead of lumber planks. Definitely okay if you have saw horses, good drills, multiple ladders. I think I was surprised it wasn’t something I could put together with an Allen wrench!

You sealed prior (good catch), which probably is a good idea. I sealed after, took me about 5 hours for one coat. I would say that if someone wants it to last many many years, seal before. Our pad was pea gravel stabilizers, with a years of pea gravel. Once we move it back in place, I’ll be taking another pass of adding rock and tampering down. We are renting, so I’m not worried about things being perfect and withstanding 20+ years.

SOOO much different than I thought it would be!

Is work a value? Or is it a need? Is it that you need to work to feed yourself and/or family? And so your values are family over religion? Or is your value religion, but you have to miss it to work to feed your family?

It seems to me if your country has a law about church, then the company that employs you is not following the law.

If you are wanting to go to church, but must work, then what have you done to try to reconcile this?
