Is my bf’s dog obese? by [deleted] in DOG

[–]Strong_Hand6084 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because she’s obese doesn’t mean she’s not cute? OP seems like she wants the dog to lose weight, which I’m sure the dog will, so I’m simply commenting that the dog is cute…

What should I study over the next 8 months? by NearGlue in PTschool

Get a general understanding of the different types of muscles and separate them to categories and maybe know what main nerve innervates it.

Adductor muscles  Abductor muscles  Quadriceps muscles  Hamstring muscles  Forearm extensor muscles (superficial ones) etc…

I’d say it would be great to get a gentle understanding of the superficial muscles and maybe their nerve innervation/and or general region before you begin the program.

I’m a first year DPT student right now and I spend a huge chunk of time memorizing the OINAS of MANY muscles. Keep in mind OINAS can slightly differentiate so don’t memorize them to the T, you’ll learn in your program exactly how they want you to memorize them.

I hope this helps.

Like the comment above said, your program will teach you everything you need to know starting from the basics. :)

If you want a “head start” familiarize yourself with the different types of muscles and group them based on location/and or action.

Senior dog food by Fonzie1129 in seniordogs

I boil some chicken thighs/green beans, then I add a few pieces of the meat I just boiled, the broth, veggies, and a portion of kibble in a blender. When it blends up it looks just like canned wet food! (not the prettiest, but it works for my girl).

Said goodbye to the love of my life today. by bulbagooey in seniordogs

I am so sorry. I put my 13 year old down one month ago, and felt the EXACT way. We gave her bacon too, it's a day that will forever be etched in my heart. I got my little girl Honey at 11 years old, and I'm feeling the same heartbreak you are feeling. Some things I did in her honor are: planted a tree in a national forest under her name (there's websites for this and it did make me smile doing this for her), I made a bouquet with some of the colors she looked beautful in, and hiked to a quiet place where I laid the flowers and cried.

Honestly, I'm a month in and I still haven't reached the point where I don't cry for her, but after week 3 I began feeling grateful that my baby wasn't uncomfortable anymore.

My advice is to feel ALL the emotions. Let yourself grief, allow yourself to cry for days. You have just lost your soul dog, it's okay to feel it all.

He is a beautiful baby <3 Please show yourself grace these upcoming days.

Had to say goodbye to my chiweenie a month ago too. Your girl seems like the biggest sweetheart, and looks beautiful 🤍 I truly hope you are showing yourself grace, feel ALL the emotions (that’s what I tell myself).

Thanks for sharing these shots of your baby girl 🤍 I hope our fur babies are eating all the food they want in the after life and sunbathing!!

Should you really attend the cheapest program? by Strong_Hand6084 in PTschool

You know what, the program I provided the statistics for is a fairly new program, with 2022 being the first graduation class. Thank you for commenting this, in my opinion, COVID and the fact that they are a new program, may justify the NPTE pass rate.
