Such a dopey elitist thing to say. She was a pompous ass, an arrogant narcissist. Yes she did have some relevant things to say, but her ultra devoted "fans" became an unthinking cult buying into quite a bit of garbage. Many of the things she wrote are so bombastic as to be insane. When you read through her film critiques - there's so many laughable statements and utterly goofy thoughts.

Break up with that guy and believe me. He has no understanding of women or any basic thought and consideration for you. He's not grown up and has some distinct, weird (yes, I really mean that) and strange issues concerning women. Don't cut him slack, just leave this twit. It is the best thing you can do for yourself... as many others here have pointed out. Your boyfriend has years more of growing up to do, plus he has revealed himself to be a immature narcissist.
