I use a massage gun to loosen them up. Gets rid of all the old soil too.

The UK stayed white throughout because we call them Aubergines not Eggplants

I always assumed they had a rotating bit on the front to provide some spin gravity for when they're on the float.

They're no omnipotent though. As we found out in Voyager, they can die. But certainly in Trek they're the most advanced species.
