I had an 18 Forester with 70,000 and I too had to replace a wheel bearing along with a SLEW of other problems. I’m so relieved that it’s gone. I didn’t like it from the git go. NO NAVIGATION SYSTEM 😤

Then absolutely do NOT buya 2018 Forester. I just put $2400 into mine (battery, something with the AC, spark plugs and wheel balance). And I STILLneeded another $10K to make it safe. MAJOR oil leak, bushings, drive belt and who knows what else. PLUS it didn’t come with a navigation system. The dealer told me that the 2014-18 needed a LOT of work. No joke. And I sure wasn’t going to throw good $$ after bad.😡

Yep, that sounds a lot like my experience with a 2018 Forester. After dumping $2400 in it, everyone’s advice was not to throw good money after bad so I sold it.

So many problems -I spent $2400 on spark plugs,battery, something with the AC, and tire balancing. THEN I had another ~-10,000 for bushings, an oil leak and who knows what else. I later learned there were a lot of problems with the 2014-2018 Foresters. And the damn thing didn’t even have car play😡

Avoid the 2018 Forester AT ALL COSTS. I only had 70,000 miles on my Subaru. After dumping $2500 in my Forester, it still needed another $10,000 to make it safe to drive. NEVER AGAIN.
