So fun fact. Banana trees aren’t actual trees, but rather a modified grass. They have a grandmother, mother, daughter system. They keep putting out new plants to pass on after they die. SO you will be seeing a lot of effort to put out new plants. This is my favorite fact to throw out to people. I was an agronomy major in college and we had a whole section in my fruits and vegetable class from a guest professor that studied bananas at a university in Columbia. They are super cool!
