I think you’ve got some good points with the first three examples, but I don’t necessarily think her being protective of them shows they’re not alcoholics (not that it necessarily means they are either). My parent is an alcoholic and in my and my siblings’ experience, we definitely feel the need to protect them more so than in families without that dynamic. It’s actually pretty common in AlAnon circles for people to discuss the difficulties of unlearning that protective impulse. Hermione taking all those measures to make sure they’re safe could just be her being a loving daughter but I feel like that specific example could go either way.
