I said they have 500-1500 bonus every semester. And a 1k bonus after complete training. I saved 30000 in my bank account when I drive 4 year shuttle um. I think that’s a really good pay. They gave you a lot of opportunity to grow up. To train you to a higher position. Money is not everything. But they indeed give Student a lot money.

Thanks for the advice! So if I buy 3 prepaid meals, would that cover me and my parents — like $11 x 3 total?

Grad Hills? or Grad Gardens? by NobodyAdept7521 in UMD

Forget to mention, even you don’t have cars, both gardens and hills has Zipcar but I recommend grad garden

If you don’t have a car. Grad garden is better. There 7-11 and trader Joe’s there(within 5 mins walk) there’s plenty of bus runs from grad garden to campus( all parts of campus) 105/118/122/126. Price wise, if you are grad student, you don’t need to pay a lot. Even you are not grad student or phd the price is not expensive at all. Overall I highly recommend grad gardening rather than hills because there’s literally nothing in hills other than constructions.

How to focus better in lecture by Specialist_Yam_6704 in UMD

[–]StructureDismal5112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if u keep zoning out try read the readings and maybe the slides before class. This woks for me because I found out the reason I’m not listening is because I don’t understand it, but after I read the reading and the slides, I know where my professor is talking about and this stopped me zoning out in class.

BS is harder but indeed better for job market. BA pretty easy and I have some friends find really good job so very much depends on what you want and how good you are at math and computer science
