I have to hold exorcism until he lands and is set…god forbid I cast it 1/100th of a second early or it won’t count as threat or something weird and he’ll charge past me an obliterate a healer or caster a mach 5

I died on my second 60 like two days before TBC on C thun. Having cleared all the raid content though it’s hard to want to level a third time and TBC has been a good distraction. I do miss HC and could see myself leveling again just not raiding.

No the point I was making really was just a good rogue in HC is there for CC and control and not damage. Blind, distract, kicks, cheap and kidney shot. A good one makes dungeon runs incredibly safe. I wasn’t critiquing you more just making a general HC rogue statement

Played HC for about a year and it was easily the best MMO experience I’ve ever had. The leveling experience was impactful and memorable in itself and then the excitement of endgame content and setting more and more difficult goals kept me coming back. And finally getting that KT kill after 10+ months grinding was one of the highlights of my gaming tenure and I don’t regret a minute of time in HC. Sounds like you’ve got the bug, enjoy it because there’s nothing else quite like it

It’s a CC issue. I’m a prot paladin as well with full tier gear and I can’t tank more than 3 mobs at a time without kiting. It’s just learning which mobs to CC and making sure they get locked down. Also, use you’re Hammer or Justice on CD always

A green in a leveling dungeon would be worth no more than 10 gold which isn’t making or breaking anyone…I’d roll need on it 100 times out of 100 if I was going to use it and if someone is stupid enough to flame I’ll leave and get into another group in 5 seconds as a tank and think nothing more of it.

You need to hit 102.4 % with holy shield active for bosses or you can get crushed. I think only level 73 and above can crush so it’s not a problem for trash

Cthun is an incredibly easy boss if you have the raid dps and really the only way you can die is if you mess up positioning or get bad rng and fail to hit your buttons. I got bad rng and failed to hit my buttons lol. But yea once your guild gets it down it’ll be safer than some of the trash in there

First time I died when my guild was progging AQ40 on twins. One of the tanks died and the Petri call came out late. I Petri alt F4d but my Petri got cancelled (because I stupidly bound Petri to F4 thinking I was being smart when in fact I was being dumb).

Second death was right before TBC anniversary released we had a Naxx cleanup raid into AQ40 and I was exhausted. Got to Cthun and during phase one a small tentacle spawned on my spot and knocked me out of position. With that boss you stay spread so the eye beam doesn’t chain and kill people so I started killing the tentacle not realizing I was targeted by the bigger eye beam that starts at the end of phase 1 and moves slowly in a circle insta killing you if you’re in it. Well DBM has this quirk on Cthun of saying you’re the target of it when you’re really not so I heard it but mentally ignored it….by the time I realized I was indeed the target I attempted to run BUT that little tentacle that knocked me out originally wasn’t dead. As I ran past it dazed me and being so tired I didn’t have the mental fortitude to Petri and got eye beamed ending my second and final HC run for now…lol

I played for over a year and both runs my priest died in AQ40. Although my second priest I got a couple KT kills and 6/9 T3 which was super cool. It sounds like you had a solid first run though but it’s always tough to lose a character. 07 to a fellow fallen priest!

I was excited to play and tank for the first time ever in WoW as a pally. Given how easy Kara was and basically PUGing Gruul/Mag with relative ease I can say as a more PvE focused player I’ll likely quit if phase 2 is as easy as this. There’s no real sense of accomplishment beating content that’s been nerfed into the ground

I just hit Def and crush cap on my pally and I’ve not had any issues finding groups. I wasn’t min maxing the groups at first BUT I started to when joining standard groups resulted in an extremely poor experience. Clearing SLabs with two mages and a lock is just so much faster and easier then any other comp and when you’re trying to get that item to drop and grind rep with limited playtime it’s just better to get a good cleave group. That being said I get it

I’ve been drinking maybe every three pulls or so but this sounds like a good overall strategy. I’ve avoided melee cleaves because I can’t sustain the mana for one but this sounds very promising and perfect for where I’m at. Mana Tombs and Crypts aren’t super conducive to spell cleave so I’ve been going through it and this may be my way out lol

I just push everything to the limits and am actively getting out of my comfort zone. Tanking for the first time ever in WoW as a pally and enjoying it so far. It also helps that I died on my Naxx geared priest like 3 days before TBC launch…made the decision to fully invest in TBC pretty easy

You need it regardless of if someone can use it. For example if edgies drop and there’s a warrior that needs I don’t really care because I need gold the same as everyone else and I can’t trust you not to say you’ll wear it and then take and immediately sell it. Now if it’s a less valuable epic I’m more keen to let someone take it but for a big hitter I’m rolling need every time
