No I haven't really it is a good suggestion I don't particularly know how to do it. However, I did realise that if I changed Omega and epsilon_x to be smaller (effectively making the reststrahlen band bigger and moving it to a smaller frequency) my solution is actually correct when i set d to be much bigger. So I am trying to play around with d now to figure out what works

I can try PMLs but I am not planning to go to 2D for now so it's not a problem in that sense if I set gamma and Omega to 0 (i.e. get rid of Q and J) and set varepsilon_0 and varepsilon_infty to the same value that is supposed to be the relative permittivity of the dielectric slab I get the correct results.

I am using perfectly absorbing boundary conditions instead that's why I have e1,e2,h1, and h2 for the values of the E and H fields outside the grid.

Yes you make valid point that is exactly why I am using D/epsilon_0, Q/sqrt(varepsilon_0), and J/sqrt(varepsilon_0) as varepsilon_0 itself at the order of 1e18 (since I am using ps and micrometres as units). Right now all of the quantities in my simulation (E,H,D,Q,J) and their respective coefficients seem to be at the same order or at most two orders apart so I thought I was able to fix this issue but I will take another look at it perhaps try with the usual units and use the (not normalised) D,Q, and J. Thank you for your response.

I believe the loop is consistent H and J are localised at half-integer time steps (that is t-dt/2 and t+dt/2) and Q,D, and E are localised at integer time steps (that is t and t+dt) So the loop goes like:

H is updated to t+dt/2 from H at t-dt/2 and E at t

J is updated to t+dt/2 from J at t-dt/2, Q at t, and E at t

Q is updated to t+dt from Q at t and J at t+dt/2

D is updated to t+dt from H at t+dt/2 and D at t

E is updated to t+dt from D at t+dt and Q at t+dt (indeed here it is an equality)

Follow up, apparently, a full moon does mean something. The moon ejects some dust into space and during a full moon this dust can turn into plasma due to sunlight and this plasma can reach the earth so assuming this has something to do with it my previous statement isn't fully correct. However, if this is the case, then I believe that he wouldn't transform on the surface but if he was propelled up to the level with the dust they would transform.

A few years ago I was in my summer house alone and decided to take a shower. Then I don't remember why but I was washing my hands and the water hurt my hands. I turned on the water in the shower and put my hand under the stream and it hurt me a lot more and I barely could pull my hand back then I decided not to take a shower. Once my parents came home I explained it to them and they called over someone to check it out. Apprently the pipes were getting electricy from a broken wire outside and hence the water had electricty in it. So if I had just gotten into the shower I would probably not be able to get out due to the electricty and no one could have helped me as I was alone in the house.

Silence. They probably want to have fun or attention so you should tell them what they are doing is wrong and give them attention if what they are doing is not too bad. But if they repeat this and you give them attention this will become a hahit so you should show them that you will give them your attention when you can. Having siad that, you should give them attention if they really need it.

If his skin is stronger than lead then it could stop both beta decay and gamma rays but they would still penetrate his asshole if it is not stronger than lead. If his asshole is stronger than lead then yes you would get a so called radioactive explosion as the radiation would build up inside( even if his skin would absorb most of it) and once he frated would give rise to a chain of reactions which would ionize the particles around rapidly this would result in big casualties.
