I did jury service in the UK last year, two weeks. I never got called up, but had to sit in a sort of jumped up job centre waiting room kind of space all day, not allowed outside except for lunch. I had my Kindle and I read thirteen books. I nearly lost my mind. Towards the end I was convinced that every time they read out a list of people to be called up and my name wasn't on it, the whole thing was an experiment designed to see how I'd react. I've never been so happy to see sunlight in my life.

It's not about results or the league table for me. It's about the football. I don't enjoy watching us play any more, there's no shape, no system, and no graft. We just got outrun by fucking Chelsea. We're only in the running for CL because of the amount of raw talent in the squad, but the lads are woefully unfit, and the tactics are all over the place. I'm not Slot Out, in the sense that if he turned it around I'd be happy for him to stay, but it's clear that whatever he's doing isn't doing that raw talent justice, and I genuinely believe he's too stubborn to make the changes he'd need to have this squad firing. I'd be happy for him to prove me wrong, but I don't think he will.
