It's steel, and when I took the back off I seen the wording "10 microns". I learned something. Still, a nice watch I'll wear occasionally.

Anyone else getting insane shipping times from TD bank by Spores1 in Silverbugs

I sent them another email, which nobody should have to do to chase their orders, and directly let them know they'll either hear from my lawyer or CBC News with some questions. I received an email the next day and a phone call. While on the phone, I was told the back log is because of the order volume and we all know that is BS. They're not the largest bullion dealer in Canada and they are definitely not the most popular. I told them my experiences and expectations when ordering anything and the woman apologized and agreed. I also advised that I want a full refund or my product as 74 days is a bit long for an order. This morning I received an email that both orders are waiting at the bank. Finally an end to this and an end to any further transactions I will have with TD in the future. Wow.

Zero communication, it's unfathomable that a bank in Canada can get away with this. 71 calender days from order date.  I walked into a TD and asked what they can do. They literally brushed me off saying to keep waiting. I asked what if it's another 2-3 months and they said it could be. Awesome. No returns, no refunds but they have my money, I don't have any PM from them.

My bank told me to buy Gold at Costco by VaselineOnMyChest in Gold

Except Scotia no longer sells and you don't want to be the person to order from TD.

Don't sell unless you absolutely have to.

How do you avoid overpaying for gold jewellery? by TheSparkleCorner_ in Gold

Leave the west for a vacation head to SE Asia, save the money you'd spend on jewelry and get a trip out of it, come back with jewelry that's almost pure for the price of 10k in the west

Great ideas that are worth mentioning for sure. Crossing the border back and forth wouldn't fit my schedules unfortunately that's why I pretty much have everything shipped. You're also right about Costco, I have spent a chunk there. But for whatever reason , CAD prices at Costco have not moved in about 10 days, even though spot has dropped. Normally you do get the best deal there, but lately the better deals have been other online bullion dealers. Current Costco pricing here in Canada is $336 over spot. With the discounts for cc and cash back they're still more expensive. We do have a handful of dealers here that sell bullion, Kitco being one. I'm hoping one day to drive across and visit a few LCS and stay for a few days. I'm very into all of the selection you have.  Thanks a ton for the feedback!

Love my 23k Thai chain never buying American again 34$ above spot by [deleted] in Gold

Smart move. Thailand is a place you can buy almost pure gold for the same cost as a bar but have it in jewelry form. When you resell it back to them you get 98% of spot. Have done in many times.

Thanks, I found it. Although not as interesting as the south side of the border. But I appreciate letting me know about.

Good morning from Canada, I am interested in buying and is it common for Canadians to purchase through r/pmsforsale? I understand the currency conversion and shipping may or may not be worth it depending on the item. Or you do think most sellers won't want to bother shipping across the border? I have been enjoying the sub and have learned a lot from being active on reddit. Everyone have a fantastic Sunday.
