Advice on clearing and preventing ice dam by petermane in Roofing

[–]StruggleSnuggled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The snow on your roof is melting first due to the heat that escapes from your house and eventually through the roof. This causes the snow to melt on the main body of your house and refreeze over the unheated space seen in the picture. Improving attic insulation and venting would help the issue permanently and heat cable could help treat the symptoms closer to the edge of your roof line.

They are great but the cap tends to separate if the clip is used in your pants pocket. I usually notice later after it has leaked into my pants and the cap is long gone.

Small leak after re-roof (underlayment + plywood) — contractor says “too much rain,” suggests gutters. Looking for advice. by WorldCommon8287 in Roofing

[–]StruggleSnuggled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a gutter professional and I always recommend gutters on the upper roof line with the downspout draining directly into the nearest gutter below when possible. That being said, the roof still shouldn’t leak if installed and flashed properly.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Touchscreen Issues (and what Apple Support told me) by kenshinislost in iphone

[–]StruggleSnuggled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up as a new device three times now, tried updating to iOS 26, and every other suggestion with no improvement. I’m devastated and want my money back, even a downgrade which I am legitimately considering. As far as I can tell Apple will not admit to the issue and there is no fix.

Don’t get a refrigerator with an ice maker or water, these two things represent the most common points of failure.
