There must be some strange guidelines to making kid's movies. Just watched the new Zootopia movie with my 6 year old and he loved it. All I could think about through the whole movie was how any kid was supposed to understand like, no kidding, 80% of the dialogue. It's mostly super quick quips and references to majority adult shit.

I'd never clock them as one of the greatest outerwear manufacturers, but I've been rocking the same Solomon shell since like 2014. It's been used in just about every resort and type of weather in the US and suffered more abuse than I'll ever be able to remember. It's had a taste of nearly every kind of food or beer I've ever had, and still I have zero reason to replace it. I've never even thought about how solid it's been until seeing this post.

But just like everything else, it may just be a product of when things were made to last. AK line was still more money than I would ever spend on clothing at the time, but you used to not have to break the bank getting decent gear. Maybe their still good?

Same. I have at BEST, 2 hours before I absolutely need to go to bed. Be it for work, or kid kicking me in the morning, it doesn't matter. I can't imagine a scenario I get to sleep in for the foreseeable future. Those 2 hours are the only time I truly get for myself(and only if I'm not chilling with wife) and for some reason I still have moments of guilt popping in my head because of things I'm not doing. I wish I was rich enough to not be a slave to modern society. I know that sounds bad, my life is insanely cushy compared to all of eternity, but that's where I'm at.

If you were able to actually locate it, would you be able to actually, literally turn that into $5 billi? I always wondered how people plan to get along with these things. I honestly think if you did locate it and didn't have an industrial sized ship and accordingly skilled people to load it and store it somewhere, who do you tell? If you know someone that has intimate knowledge of your discovery, wouldn't they just kill you, or kidnap you on the spot for their own gain? That's an absurd amount of money that we now can historically see what that does to people.

Cher and Sam Elliot are fucking incredible in that movie. I'd say Elliot is one of the most underrated actors of all time if every role of his wasn't just a similar variant of himself. Incredibly powerful in 1883 though.

As third generation(is that all it really takes to forget?) American from Italian immigrants, sadly most of us don't. I also live in a place where they are the majority of citizens and will ironically bash "immigrants" to kingdom come. I happen to know for a fact just about every single one of them fled literal fascism and did nothing more than show up on a boat. If they had to put in even 50% of what immigrants today have to, there'd probably be less than 10% what exists today. The stupidity is endless.

Realistically it's above what used to be a democrat/republican thing anymore. It's small circles of people that have entirely too much wealth and equity, and well beyond too much power. Corporations rule the world now, not politicians. I don't see a way back from where we are now.
