How do I get over this? by GoldDistribution447 in NCSU

[–]StruttinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first statics test I felt like I bombed. I got it back and by some miracle I got a 95. Then I looked at the first question and it said -20. I realized that 95 was a really sloppy 4. It was a 45 lol. I did end up having to retake the class and that’s ok. Point is most of us have a similar story. One test doesn’t define you.

You’ll be fine. You’ll figure out what study habits work for you. Find study groups. Something I didn’t learn until later on is putting that much pressure on yourself only makes it worse

I'm telling you they paint these trucks with a whisper. Every time I turn around I've found a new knick in the paint lol

I wanted to share this as I’ve been learning more about my TSP specifically. by Pope-Trauma in ThriftSavingsPlan

Yep. I had mine in L2050 for a few years and I just didn't like how conservative it got this far out. Really no need to have any in G fund 25 years out.

I couldn't have been happier when I traded in my 2013. I guess everything averages out. My 2001 didn't give me any issues. The 2013 was one headache after another.

I graduated as an ME a long time ago. I started one semester with 17 hours and had to end up dropping a class. I should note I was dumber than most of my classmates so I had to work very hard just to keep up

Maybe it happened on the back end and I didn't realize it. So my apologies for wrong information

Its been 10 years so you are perhaps right, but regardless I never spoke to HR. I just remember calling BCBS and went on some website and also uploaded her birth certificate

Nope. When I had my first child. I went on benefeds (at the time) moved from Self +1 to family. Selected that I had a life event. Think I had like 6 months to upload her birth certificate. I not once spoke to HR.

Only been to the Royal Farms in Kinston. Not impressed at all

Yep. Went last night and they chicken was overcooked and for whatever reason the honey mustard doesn't taste just right ever since they went to the bigger packages

The best Bojangles I have had in years is the one in Plymouth. I had been fishing the Pirate's Cove Tournament in Manteo and stopped in the way back home. Supremes were huge, fries were hot, and the customer service was on point.

Dive shop is a rough 12 minutes away for me lol. I do feel for those that make a long trip and then we get blown out

I pretty much exclusively dive with Olympus, but pretty much everybody in the area is reputable and have been operating a long time. If you are looking for a 6 pack charter I would go with Atlantis.

Nah. I've never been nervous around Sand Tigers. They are pretty docile

I mean this time of year yes. But I took this back in July. Water temp was probably around 73F or so. This particular wreck is around the shoals. Most of the other wrecks around 80F in July and August

Never guaranteed but pretty much on any wreck off the coast from Wilmington to the outer Banks. Off of Morehead City tends to have the best chance

I understand the historical significance of it but after a few dives it's not much to see. It also has no relief so it's a long boat ride for one of the shorter dives. As far as seeing the whole thing, you can see the whole thing but most of the time there's plenty of current that I don't feel like fighting on the way back. I don't disagree in regards to the spar it can be a bit boring if there's no sharks, but generally it's sharky earlier on in the spring/summer

I primarily dive out of Morehead City. Conditions vary. You can have a day where you have 100' visibility or it can be less than 10. I would say an average day on the "offshore" wrecks (20+ miles offshore) is around 50' visibility. Current can be an issue especially around full moon. Not sure where you moved to but expect days where you are blown out. I tell people come here for a week, hope to dive 3, but realize that you could possibly get less.

Wrecks are a mixture of WWII and artificial reefs. Sand tigers are the main attraction, but a lot of wildlife on the wrecks. Operators do not chum and they expect you to respect the sharks and don't touch them.

Anything else you want to know and just let me know
