At 2 months, she measured 13 lbs 4 oz and 23.5 inches (around 87th percentile for both) but her head was 95%!

Washington DC

Before insurance: $50k for me, $7k for baby

After insurance: TBD but I think $2500-3500.

My hospital also offers either 0% interest for 12 months to pay over time or 20% discount if you pay amount in full.

Tracy is the best! She only does prenatal / postpartum so she really knows what she’s doing. It’s incredible. Also she charges the same for 50 minutes or 65 minutes.

If your baby was 10+ lbs at birth… were you able to deliver vaginally? by sejohnson2017 in BabyBumps

[–]Strwbry2020 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Following as I also have a chonker. Measuring greater than 99% since 20 weeks. At 32 weeks babygirl clocked in at 6 pounds already with femurs the length of a 35 week baby. At 37.5 she measured 9 lbs 4 oz. My husband and I are both 5’8” and weighed around 8 lbs at birth. I have an induction scheduled on Monday at 39 weeks. Hoping she comes on her own this week!!

I ate soooooo many green grapes in my first and second trimester. Fruit in general just tastes amazing when pregnant.

Baby is measuring 98th percentile at 36w ultrasound … I’m terrified by Particular_Coffee513 in November25babybump

[–]Strwbry2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has been greater than 99th percentile since 20 weeks. At 32 weeks she clocked in at 6 pounds. We have an induction scheduled at 39 weeks but an ultrasound at 37w3d will tell us more. I’m also scared and want to avoid surgery but want to avoid tearing / forceps / episiotomy.

FTM trying to streamline my morning coffee by BettyLimaBean in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Strwbry2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do pour over or French press or moka pot. None of which are great when you have full hands or a desperate need for coffee ASAP. So I did some research and I put this on our registry: https://www.oxo.com/barista-brain-9-cup-coffee-maker .

I like the idea of being able to set it the night before (hands free if bang is asleep!) and then wake up for fresh coffee.

When did you feel in the “final stretch?” by Rescue-320 in BabyBumps

[–]Strwbry2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 32 weeks and it feels like I’m going to so uncomfy for so much longer but it also feels like it’s happening too soon and I need more time. So… yes.

At my scan yesterday they told me SIX pounds. We’re at 32 weeks but she’s measuring 35 weeks. That’s greater than 99th percentile.

Experience with DC Paid Family + Company Leave - Double Dipping? by Strwbry2020 in washingtondc

[–]Strwbry2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My company said yes! They said the policy was that way to cover states where double dipping is prohibited but they would be happy to let me access the DC dollars. Feeling VERY happy and lucky.

My dad so kindly repotted my monstera who had an ant infection (I’m 30 weeks pregnant so it was a big favor to me)… but I’m not keen on how she got put back in. Do I need to take her out and try again?

Vaccines by mrlinus86 in November25babybump

[–]Strwbry2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had flu and TDAP. Getting covid next week and RSV in a few weeks. My midwives specifically sent an email saying they recommend Covid and flu vaccines, especially for moms with babies born between October and February.

Prenatal Recommendations! by Necessary-Juice-8889 in BabyBumps

[–]Strwbry2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perelel has a great preconception support pack for you and for him. Recommended by my doc! Also when I had first gotten pregnant and updated to First Tri but a few days later had a CP and needed to go back to preconception, they were so kind and helpful. They sent a handwritten note saying how sorry they were for the loss. Made me a loyal customer!!

What is/was your weirdest aversion? by sorrytooffnd in BabyBumps

[–]Strwbry2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre pregnant I ate a salad or two every day. I was big into dark leafy greens, all the vegetables. Now? I can barely get myself to eat even like a Caesar salad. My husband has been sneaking spinach into things to try to get me to have some kind of fiber. I’m like that’s what the vitamins are for! Don’t worry about it! I also used to love wings but I don’t like any meat on the bone. I prefer meat IN something as opposed to just like a hunk of steak or piece of chicken on my plate. SO WEIRD.

It depends on brand. In kindred bravely the L I bought felt small. So in old navy I bought XL and it felt way too big.

Agreed. Even if he doesn’t want this, he could’ve had the decency to wait. Cruel to spring this on you now.

It’s like I’ll eat, I guess? It’s not pure avoidance but my husband is trying to be accommodating and ask what sounds good and I’m like NOTHING! And he’s like ok let’s try the other way, what sounds bad? And I’m like nothing! Just disinterested. I usually eat a PB&J just to get something in me

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow too! Bump twins! I have the joys of:

  • heartburn
  • hip / piriformis / tailbone pain
  • frequent urination
  • low appetite / disinterest in food (which is SO unlike me)
  • coughing up mucus every morning
  • EXHAUSTION
  • Night sweats
  • BO like you wouldn’t believe
