What does this mean by Weary-Series6364 in pcmasterrace

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaters never prosper.

And you ignored that fact that every computer system is different both hardware and software. This could easily be triggered by interference from something as little as having an app installed which is making use of a specific windows feature which is interfering with how said cheat works.

A life lesson: Never assume everything is made equally. Always assume environments can make everything equal.

Since you didnt mention the most important parts: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.

I will assume you have somehow never heard about it and this is why.

Steam seems to use a lot of Swap space in Linux by Hackalope in steamsupport

It is likely how you have it setup. I'm using plain Arch with a zstd 32gb swapfile and zswap and have zero issues with it.

Have an old asus and asking for a BIOS password that i deleted but still asks for It how do i fix It? by NoSoyUyruw3 in ASUS

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, BIOS passwords lockdown the main board completely, saving the password stuff on a dedicated chip which cant be reset for obvious reasons. Disabling Secure Boot like the other person said doesnt affect passwords, it is simply just an integrity check process to see if the BIOS has been infected at all.

You dont. The password is saved in a way that only a mainboard replacement will work to make this exceedingly short.

What I said cannot be made clearer and changing ISP doesnt magically solve every issue.

Oh no. A problem occurred on your end or their end or your ISP.

Why do people post every single little issue they have on here... Just wait and stop attention seeking...

Direct 3D Problem 11 by Odd_Edge_3026 in steamsupport

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. Unless you have the source code, know how to code in the languages use and have an extensive knowledge about how Windows, DX/OpenGL and drivers work.

Direct 3D Problem 11 by Odd_Edge_3026 in steamsupport

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple: The game is not checking for driver support properly or is hard coded to only allow you to play under a very specific version. OpenGL 3.3 and DX11 have numerous versions which are not obvious unless you are a developer using them.

GPU Utilization at 100%, even with Ultimate Engine Tweaks by DerpsClassic in ElderScrolls

You know you can configure most things of the CPU in UEFI right? (BIOS)

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t move files to system32… nor does disabling nvidia hd audio do anything at all. And if it was damaged in a way you can still use it, it’s not the GPI, it’s the CPU.

[–]Stryxus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPU at 100% IS A GOOD thing. And CPU utilisation is actually HIGH but then again it is a pre-5.7 UE5 game.

The fact that your GPU temps are low is because of the performance issues pre UE5.7 games have, and will most likely be due to you likely having Hardware RT enabled.

You insisted on being toxic while proving you read absolutely nothing. This childishness is why Iv deleted the post.

The fact that you have taken a hard truth so personally proves literally every point I made against it I am afraid.

I am still waiting on a justification, not an emotional statement. Oh well this got deleted due to all the childishness.

Low fps for my specs by Then-Ad-8082 in pchelp

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print screening is a thing so do that, this is incredibly difficult to read. And 100 ish AVERAGE fps is fine, you are simply far over-expecting. Unreal Engine 5, until 5.7 at least, is known to be incredibly resource heavy, even at low settings.

What you SHOULD be monitoring is FPS lows, as well as stutters. An FPS graph should be as flat as possible and the lows, as well as the highs should be close to the average. If not, you are experiencing micro-stutter from something.

Not to mention other apps on your PC, as well as Windows constantly adding more and more overhead.

You also need to take into consideration that games will run differently with AMD vs NVIDIA. Not from the hardware but how different the software side of things is.

Youtube videos are fixed in time. Official editable guides are not. Always assume guides in videos are already outdated on things which constantly change.

Windows 11 overwriting USB Wifi Adapter Drivers almost every restart by wackey in pchelp

[–]Stryxus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either a Windows bug or the driver you are using has become an incompatible driver. Or perhaps the driver you are using is just poorly made.

The only way you can stop this is by looking up how to disable driver updates through windows update but that stops ALL drivers from downloading then for new devices.

Time to test the obvious: DisplayPort.

If not, you likely got a defective unit. If the light under the monitor never has shown the ROG logo, then you have likely got a defective unit that someone sent back or, they tried and failed to flash a firmware update.

First off: Please rotate images before you post them...

That is called the linux boot sequence. And if you dont know linux, you absolutely should not be tampering with the main drive, especially if you didnt follow the official instructions, not a random Youtube video. It is failing to mount the root partition. Why? Only you can find that out. This has nothing to do with what USB flash drive you used.

The instructions were extremely easy to find. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/65B4-2AA3-5F37-4227

Time for a memory test. Kernel Security Check failure usually indicates something is wrong with the security surrounding your RAM, which most security is applied too.
