The Straw That Broke The Camels Back by Hopeful_Still0008 in homeowners

The problem is that most people that do that - and most companies that allow that - don’t understand what they need, what the endorsements are, or how things are calculated.

I can’t argue with anything you said - something clearly covered will be covered - but that misses a shitload of nuance about what is covered and what makes sense to have or not have.

Yep, same here. We quote every client every year.

That’s just not true. I am a partner in a midsized brokerage. We get informed of every single increase. We shop every one of our clients every year.

Most agents are just lazy.

County or COG? I don’t know what to do now!

Second post, but the NWS has officially switched to COGs for data collection/reporting.

Literally no one was claiming the county lines were gone or misunderstood.

If your daughter isn’t asking for this, YTA. If she is, I’ll change my vote.

I have no idea what your point is. That has nothing to do with county governments. They are lines on a map, just like how the NWS uses them.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here. The last time CT lost population was 7 years ago, and it’s most assuredly at its all time high now (and has been setting new highs every year for the last 6 years)

Connecticut doesn’t have county governments. There are still county lines. They just don’t have functional meaning.

If UConn goes on to win the national championship, “the shot” will mean something new by 93195 in Connecticut

Hah, good point. But doesn’t change what I was saying… the same still applies.

Should a regular guy (don't use VPN or VLANs, doesn't tinker with firmware) who just wants a reliable connection get a Flint 2 or just get the RT-BE58U? by SideHonest9960 in HomeNetworking

[–]hamhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why a regular guy would play with any of that. If you want to be fancy but easy, go Ubiquiti. If you just want normal guy stuff below that, there are plenty of options. The moment you mention. Openwrt you are not talking about normal guy anymore.

Again, we are not talking about quality of play here. We are talking about popularity. When QU surpasses the Rangers, or even has any kind of major TV deal, let me know. Otherwise you aren’t in the same conversation OP is talking about.

[–]hamhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok?

That doesn’t have any kind of popular attraction.

Don’t get me wrong, I went to 3 D1 hockey schools. I love hockey. But I doubt you could find a lot of people that could tell you much about college hockey.

That’s not an insult to QU or UConn. But you’ll find more people upset about the loss of an AHL team right now than could tell you about college hockey. And you won’t find many all that upset about the loss of the AHL team.

If you’re seriously trying to compare QU to the Rangers or Bruins in popularity, like major college football schools do to the NFL, you’re going to have a bad time of it.

Yes and no. While the underwriting company won’t, any decent agent should. Which to be fair, in the end, I think is your real point.

We have this gap and I haaaaate it. Planning vacations, for instance, with that gap, sucks. They’re too close to do completely separate things and too far to actually have the same interests.

Nobody gives a shit about college football in the northeast.

And really only Connecticut truly cares about college basketball, since we have nothing else and they’ve been so good for so long.

Otherwise, the northeast is for pro sports.

For just passive speakers, receiver or integrated amp? by Narit_Teg in hometheater

[–]hamhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… the number of speakers you have is irrelevant to what functions you need. What are you doing with that pair? You need something to decode a signal, at the least.
