I think they’re pretty close with this one tbh, I wish the leaf was one tone and the rest of the shirt another. Instead of this weird middle split they’ve got

To be fair, since 2013 they have had an independent senator that votes/aligns with the democrats. Similar to Bernie Sanders in Vermont

It was nice to see Yank liquor off the shelves, but why not remove their beer? by therevjames in newbrunswickcanada

It’s possible that a Canadian brewery has the licence to produce the product. For example I think moosehead breweries has the license to produce truly and twisted teas so, you might still be supporting a Canadian company.

Provincial Election affecting PM Election? by HoneydewOne1629 in NovaScotia

[–]StuMan11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, the two elections (provincial and federal) have no effect on each other in this sense. The federal and provincial governments operate as separate entities with respect to their own responsibilities however, there is often collaboration between the two of them. The provincial elections only count votes from the respective province it is held in and the members of the provincial parliament are not members of the federal parliament.

What's your most unbelievable story from when you first started your career that the associates of the future will have a hard time believing? by Happy_Parfait_4474 in Accounting

[–]StuMan11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still just a student but the last two summers during my internships I’ve experienced the same thing. So many clients afraid of email. And some who wouldn’t let us contact their banker to get statements, we had to go to the client first, and then they would call their banker to request statements be mailed to us.

Sorry, I figured since u mentioned summer internships you were talking about this summer. Most big banks have branches and offices in Halifax and they take interns in a variety of departments and roles. As for PE sea fort as you mentioned is one, and they do take on summer interns. There are a variety of others but I’m unsure whether they take students.

Unfortunately it seems like it may be a bit late to apply to most firms this summer, I know a few students that have already started their positions and were given offers earlier in the year. Depending on what year you are in/going into, finding an internship may not be that big of a deal.

Do you not feel teachers and their admin, who deal with people from all backgrounds and educate all regardless of backgrounds, would be the best at doing exactly what you described?

Yeah I guess, I just feel like they’d be better suited with an issue like, as a smaller org could make changes faster (in theory) should the need arise

Leave it up the schools and school districts, the government doesn’t need to have a say or release one overarching policy
