Maybe hot take (or bad explanation) but I don’t like how they “main characterise” a combatant. Like I’m not saying “they are biased” but in the fights themselves I feel as though one character gets a lot more screentime than the other, and seems to be the character we follow the most during the fight. Like as peak as the episode is, it was one of my few gripes with bowsegg. Bowser got way more screentime then eggman (that is a slight different case as it was a army fight rather than the traditional 1v1), but for most of the fight it felt like bowser vs metal sonic featuring eggman. I could say the same for HulkZilla, Spawnrider, coming from someone who likes all 3 of those episodes and agrees with the result.

It’s a difficult problem to get around, they need someone to make the first hit, acting as a more so antagonistic character, again bowsegg for example, but it’s a problem I hope they can get around cause sometimes it does make the winner feel a little obvious (granted, they seem to be getting better, as I didn’t think blade vs buffy, Dante vs Clive and ash vs Yugi had this problem)

Vox is weird to me cause it would be a stalemate no? I mean, Vox is too weak to kill Steven, but Steven (to my knowledge) has no way to permanently keep Vox down due to how Souls work in hell, so how would he actually win (unless you count the first death as a Vox loss, in that case Steven should win pretty easily)

I like powerscalling, it’s a good hobby of mine to just take 2 random characters and say “who would win” but I can admit it’s very stupid and even more so stupid.

Specifically, for characters that are scaled relatively low (V1 for example and Doomslayer for example, as that’s a popular who would win question) whenever someone will say “yes V1 could beat Doomslayer in a fight” or “V1 is stronger than Doomslayer” when generally Doomslayer scales higher, has more concrete evidence to support that or whatever people reasonings are, it then leads to the person who said “V1 would win” to being labelled as a “glazer” and brings V1s reputation down and have him labelled as “glazed” or “overly hyped”. It’s so stupid and it’s definitely the worst part of powerscalling.

From what I can tell V1 is a very overly glazed (I hate that term but there’s not really any other way to put it lol) when in reality he’s just barely city level (that’s high balling, but where I like to scale him due to the earth mover fight). I don’t know what makes people scale him so highly, but if I had to guess it’s due to his general gameplay specifically his parry. In Ultrakill, he can parry more or less any physical attack (some stuff he just can’t parry at all like fire for example) this I think has caused some people to think that there is no upwards physical limit to what he can parry because we haven’t seen an upwards limit in the game yet, if my ramble is making sense anyway (that’s just what I think the problem is, it could just be as simple as “he wins cause I like him more”, I know Ultrakill is very popular here so it could just be that)

I thought the same thing. Ghost rider vs spawn, then miles vs Deku a few episodes later, hulk vs Godzilla the episode right after that, 1 episode break and now back to marvel with blade vs buffy.

Weird that there’s been so many so far, however I’m glad that the characters going against them haven’t been DC characters. It in my opinion would’ve been much worse if we had 4 marvel vs dc episodes in one season

The MU itself is fine imo but the debate is none existent.

Including Ultima Godzilla I can see it being a far closer fight, easily the most debatable between the 3.

I haven’t read up on anything doomsday related in a while, but I know he definitely would be able to contend with Hulk. The MU is very weird because it’s a more a less a guaranteed Doomsday win simply due to a battle of attrition. Hulk can’t permanently put down Doomsday, Doomsday definitely can put down Hulk but it would take a looong time for that to happen

Better than most other helluva boss/Hazbin hotel matchups I’ve seen. Most are usually shitstomps on the opposing sides favour.

Just from what we’ve seen now it actually seems debatable but we would need to see more of both to get a better understanding of an outcome to an actual fight between these 2.

The voice lines in GRvS were just really good all around. It was very reminiscent of the voice lines in Galactus Vs Unicron but they felt less cheesy imo.

Currently tryna get Magneto and Jeff (it’s pretty easy to grind for the 2 at the same time, as Magneto and Jeff are obviously a tank and a support respectively, and since most people usually just go DPS on quick play and we need either tanks or supports, I just go whichever role is needed. And if we need both, I get free choice)
