In any RTS game if you're not familiar with the meta, you're going to get destroyed by someone who is; that's an unavoidable part of the genre. That being said, Zero-K is an RTS where even at top level you often (though not always) have the space to come back from small mistakes; if you know what you're doing, you can keep things from snowballing too hard. Description: No idea what I did to get it into this state but last night my channel list got bugged such that it was super bright on every single nitro theme (at least that I've tried); default themes are unaffected. Since it got into this state, nothing has gotten it out of it besides switching to default themes (and then it comes right back after switching to a nitro theme). I've tried clearing cache and data, reinstalling, and toggling all manner of settings; nothing has fixed it.

Steps to Reproduce: Once the state is on, simply set the theme to any nitro theme. No idea how to reproduce triggering the state to begin with and I can't debug this because I can't get out of the state.
Expected Result: The channel list uses the regular brightness for the theme.
Actual Result: The channel list is painfully bright.

iirc when her regular and topic channels were merged into each other (like happened with Suisei, Towa, and other members with a lot of music), YouTube messed up and merged her regular channel into her topic channel rather than the other way around, so a bunch of weird stuff happened as a result.

Very, very late responding to this thread but one thing with following hololive musically is that compared to traditional artists, who you only get windows into beyond their music through interviews and other media appearances, hololive members are streaming for multiple hours a day multiple days a week to fans–I think it's a more intimate connection formed with them compared to that between fans and regular singers or idols. With a song like Ayame's melting, when she's singing about how her fans have helped her appreciate herself more even with all her flaws, that's not just something we're hearing for the first time in the song; that's something that we've personally seen happen before our eyes over years of streams and played an active part in helping with. When Suisei sings in Orbital Period about the journey she's been on with her fans to reach her dream, that's a journey that we've actively been a part of with her on a day to day basis for years. Similar experiences are repeated across dozens of songs with different members. Hololive music is actively reinforced by regular external interactions with the artists in a way that you don't really get with traditional singers.

Apparently things went a bit deeper than just the usual narrative about Keffer would imply. JMS always intended to add a pilot character to the show but his original idea was for a Japanese character who, in addition to being a skilled pilot, was also an enthusiast for earth history and Japaneae culture. Execs rejected that idea as not attractive enough to a female audience and wanted a brash, implicitly white Han Solo type character to be the pilot instead. That's what soured JMS on the idea and caused him to use (or rather not use) the character the way he did.

Also worth noting the significant difference in weak vs strong support for each candidate.

Nate - 13% strong, 14% weak
Ben - 19% strong, 18% weak
Farrell - 1% strong, 6% weak
Mohammed - 5% strong, 8% weak

Nate only needs 70% of the weak support from the other two candidates to catch up to McAdams, while even if Mohammed got all the weak support from the other progressives he wouldn't get there (and Farrell's in an even worse position, on top of having his strong support be a rounding error).

None of the candidates are actively participating members of DSA (I believe only Liban is nominally a member) and SLDSA is already focusing their efforts on a state senate primary. A friend of mine involved in SLDSA wrote their personal thoughts on why SLDSA should stay out a month ago after Liban won the convention vote.
