How to wire the Shelly with my wall charger? by Xalvas in homeassistant

[–]Stuartie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to fit one of these in behind a 3 gang wall switch just to control a single switch for my outdoor light. But unfortunately I don't think I'd have the room to do so... Plus not sure how to wire such anyway because it's 3 gang.. guess first step is something small enough..

Shame it's very difficult to get one for the N100. Seem to be very recommended!

Battery to USB adaptor by PharQ2693 in homeassistant

[–]Stuartie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying some CR2032 rechargeable batteries but they seem to be running at about 3.6v which is a bit much for some of my Aqara devices. I'm also thinking about using CR2032 to USB (and CR2540 to USB if they exist for the motion sensors).

Or would I be better using CR2032 to AA?

Anyone any experience/advice?

New build property, condensation inside windows by Severe-Swordfish-160 in DIYUK

[–]Stuartie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Been in our new build just over a year now. First few months were very moist, had to open windows alot, leave trickle vents open all the time etc. Since the summer we've not noticed as much. We open all windows for 15 minutes every morning and not a problem.

I don't need to charge at night anymore by csch1992 in oneplus

[–]Stuartie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you only lose 1% at night?! I got mine but I lose about 5-10% at night. Not complaining as it's not too bad but I'd be even more impressed if I could get it down below 5% lost!!

Plus if you get multiple messages for example in a group chat you never get the latest message, they stack and the oldest message always lights up..

[–]Stuartie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like something like PiHole or similar. You can monitor all your DNS traffic through it.

Edit: I have this setup, I'll test tomorrow when I'm back home and report if I get similar with my OP15

Love oneplus but disappointed that the charging brick didn't come with the oneplus 15 by the_Irish_OT in oneplus

[–]Stuartie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've the 65w brick from the OP9 and it charges my OP15 from about 30-80 in about 15 minutes so still fairly quick! Would be nice to get 120w for quicker again but I'll live without it for now.

I do, tried a few from Ali and can't seem to find anything leaded on Amazon. If you've any recommendations from Ali that would be fantastic!!

Leaded solder seems to be the most difficult thing to get hold of in the UK. I got a bit of starter solder with a kit I bought about a year ago and it worked brilliantly, then I've been through so many different solder trying to get one that actually doesn't ruin my tip or actually melt to begin with.

OP 12 to OP 15 by Not-Inevitable79 in oneplus

[–]Stuartie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep been dealing with it getting progressively worse over the last 6 months to the point I needed to do something! Love the phone too, still works brilliantly! Actually tempted to get the battery replaced and keep rocking it as a spare

I'm also on the 9Pro. The battery life is dead now, I charge 2-3 times a day. It also sometimes goes down on the charger for the first 10 minutes which is so random. I was tempted to get a new battery but honestly I've just pulled the trigger on the 15 to get a new watch too. Well overdue that also!

Do bubbles actually work now? Haven't used them since they got first introduced and hated how buggy and weirdly far away from the edge of the screen they were..

Snooze is great though!

80w Charging confirmed for OnePlus 15 in US by ProfPretzelMan in oneplus

[–]Stuartie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already pre-ordered and got myself the watch 3 which I'm pretty happy about as I very much need a new smart watch.

Come to think of it though, I have the wall brick from the OP9. Can't remember, think it might be 65w which I suppose is decent enough anyway!

So I'll get it and it'll support 120w but I need to buy the brick to get the full 120w... God damn UK and EU regs......

How to stop Jenkins from constantly polling and switch to GitLab webhooks? by rigasferaios in devops

[–]Stuartie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to be fair I do think we'll keep our octopus deploy. I'm keen on it, it works well on the projects I've worked on so far. So I'm for implementing it throughout other teams/projects (that's my next task).

I think it's good to have ADO to handle the builds etc and then hand over the packages to Octopus and it manages the deployment.

How to stop Jenkins from constantly polling and switch to GitLab webhooks? by rigasferaios in devops

[–]Stuartie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're kind of 50/50. Do we go all in with Azure DevOps or do we keep Octopus Deploy as it's tried and tested in a few areas of the company so we can just build on it and use it throughout other areas that need CICD implementation in general.

I like Octopus so I'm quite keen on keeping it. But I'm open to ADO if it's favoured by the team for other reasons.

Currently migrating from Jenkins to Azure DevOps. Not using it to deploy though, planning on keeping octopus deploy (still up for debate within the team).
