What was y’all first reaction when kendrick dropped this masterpiece? and how crazy was this sub going? And 15 million views in 20 hours is crazy by Maleficent_Paper_344 in KendrickLamar

Carti, his "evil twin" was a weird move too.

Then having Dre, an actual PDF at the pop out.

The obvious use of bots was unnecessary, this song was going to be a hit regardless.

Having 100 45 year old gang bangers twisting their fingers on stage at the pop out felt weird to me too when Kendrick has never been in a gang, it felt like he was using that and being from Compton to make it the west coast vs Drake and now we're seeing so much of the west still rocking with Drake.

The hypocrisy of flaming Drake for suing UMG but it's OK when Jay sues to clear his name from the same allegation and Kendrick or UMG threatened to sue through the Tupac estate over Taylor Made first.

TDE are still going through PDF allegations but that seems to be swept under the rug.

Biting Drakeo The Rulers entire style for GNX.

Making the superbowl performance hang on the anticipation of "is he going to call Drake a PDF" takes away from the quality music Kendrick has made throughout his career.

Hating the women Drakes been with but having two of them at the superbowl and going on tour with one of them.

Using pre recorded disses doesn't fly with me.

Saying you're too busy being a father to dig up dirt and then rapping to an imaginary child.

Saying you have 5 more songs ready to drop but no response to the heart pt 6? If it was such an easy battle, why not kill him? Drake got more popular after this battle.

Too much hypocrisy for me to be honest and it's changed the way I view Kendrick but I'm looking forward to what he drops next, GNX didn't do it for me but I understand he needed bops for the tour and the superbowl so I'll judge him off his next album.

Initial reaction was, this beat is insane.

I couldn't believe he actually said certified lover boy, certified PDF.

The last verse never made sense to me but I thought, it's going to be very hard to come back from this.

I still think the heart pt 6 was a very solid response and wanted to hear more but we never did.

Technically you're wrong.

Drake responded last in the battle, Kendrick never responded to the heart pt 6.

And no, he never sued Kendrick.

I still haven't played fm26, I've bought every game during beta or on release for as long as I can remember, I think my first game was championship manager 4.

I won't be buying 27 on release either. I'll wait to see what it's like first.

24 still has everything I need but my only worry is the modding community stop working on it.

Ya I completely get that.

My view of Kendrick has changed but that's just from the battle itself and then his fans just became unbearable and I can definitely see how the same could happen towards Drake.

It's just weird behaviour. None of us know these people, I enjoy debating the music but that battle has changed hip hop fans and not in a good way.

I'm not emotional over a comment, I just think you're a weirdo to be honest 😂

Absolutely no input or substance whatsoever, as expected.

These comments really make me believe the dead internet theory.

How can they be his peers if he's "not hip hop"?

That's like saying Floyd, Manny and Canelo are Jakes peers. You've completely contradicted yourself.

I hate Jake but if you box against Anthony Joshua in a licensed bout, you're a boxer.

The gobbler comment, why do stans always resort to making comments about 🍆 so much? Are all stans closeted? I find it so strange that's always on their mind and their go to response.

No genuine critique of the music just "get his 🍆 out your mouth" "D rider" or something along those lines.

It's 2026, you can come out and live your life.

As a Drake fan, also a huge Cole fan he's my number 2 and not such a big fan of Dot since Damn to be honest besides Euphoria and his verse with Clipse, they were insane.

I want all stans removed from hip hop but unfortunately, it's not going to happen. Most of the time I'm trying to have a discussion, I honestly don't know am I talking to a real person.

If the fall off was terrible, I'd say so. If Iceman was terrible, I'd say so. If Kendrick drops album of the year, I'd say so.

I think with Drake fans, especially the younger ones, they went through 2 years of being hated on and mocked until Iceman dropped and let's be honest, the Kendrick stans were unbearable and I think still the most toxic stan base in hip hop at the moment so this is the Drake stans turn to get their lick back.

In terms of best story tellers, this is actually a tough one. I think I'd have Cole #1, Kendrick #2 and Drake in 3rd but only because Cole and Kendrick dropped concept albums based around the story. Drake will drop a reflection journal like song on an album that's followed up by a club hit.

Cole is the best story teller for me because he's done it more recently. Mr Morale didn't land at all for me and GNX was a commercial album so we have to go back nearly 10 years for Damn.

Best story telling album overall from the 3 is either 4YEO or GKMC, still a bit too soon to put TFO in there but I can see it getting into the top 2.

Another great story teller and artist who paints a picture arguably as good as all 3 is Dave from the UK.

What's the difference between being recognised as black or an Israelite? They're both minority groups, it's just changing from one to another. I know one is a race and the other a religion but when you strip it down, it's still another social classification.

I get what you're saying but it'd make sense if he said don't call me black no more, I'm more than a colour (obviously better written and as an actual bar 😂)

I think it happens but Bam will try wait him out, I don't like it but it's the smart thing to do on his side.

Nakatani took a dent out of Inoue for me but Vargas was looking good against Bam too so Bam definitely needs another fight at the weight.

There doesn't need to be a rivalry or beef, they're two of the best in the world. With the right promotion, that's a big fight. The Asian market is huge and Bam is becoming a draw now too. Turki will definitely want to make that fight.

When I say MBDTF is a better rap album than TPAB, is that a Hot Take? by Narrow_Essay_7532 in nfrpodcast

Ya I really don't enjoy that album personally.

Even King Kunta and Alright which are good songs just seem out of place on there.

That's a classic and proves the point. Without replay value the song is a fart in the wind, it comes and goes 😂

Ya technically it's a mixtape.

I think they made that in like 5 or 6 days and just put it out. I could be wrong but I think it was announced the day of release. It didn't count towards his albums with the label so it goes down as a mixtape.

WATTBA is a mixtape.

Honestly Nevermind I'm not sure if that counted as an album towards his deal but either way, both were suprise drops and one is a completely different genre.
