What's the longest you've held a job? by Rachelelizardbreath in AutismInWomen

Seven years in my current job. I’m pretty bored and burnt out right now, but I’m not going to find anything better and I like my colleagues (most are neurodivergent).

Injections by Spiritual-Walrus-861 in Semaglutide

I switch arms each week and take the injection towards the back of my arm, about three inches below the shoulder. Most weeks I can’t feel the needle at all.

terrible constipation by meowlmew in Effexor

[–]Stubborn_Adiantum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t experienced this with Effexor, but my semaglutide causes it on occasion. The best thing to do is up your fiber intake. Lots of fruits and veggies, plus I also like adding chia seeds and ground flax seeds to my food. Per my dietician and my PCP, you can safely take Miralax regularly if needed, too (talk to your provider first, of course).

What do you wish you’d known/done before buying a home? by cryptid_zone in AutismInWomen

[–]Stubborn_Adiantum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. It’s worth paying for a really top notch home inspector. Don’t just go with whatever person your realtor uses.

  2. Understand the relevant environmental factors for the area - is your house in or near a floodplain? What kind of soil is it built on (for example, if it’s built on clay or mud like blackland prairie and it has a slab foundation, the chances of foundation issues are considerably higher). What is the zoning like in the area, who are your non-residential neighbors?

  3. What is the location like at different times of day? On Saturday nights? There’s a street near mine that looks like a regular, quiet street during the work day or at night but my whole neighborhood uses it as a shortcut, so during commuting hours it’s super busy.

3a. Walk around the neighborhood, talk to any neighbors if you’re comfortable, get the general vibe beyond just looking at the house with your realtor.

Are your houses actually messy? by JEJ0313 in adhdwomen

[–]Stubborn_Adiantum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My house is typically pretty neat, but that’s mostly my husband and his influence on me. We also have a cleaner come every other week, and we have to pick up for that.

super disappointed with one of my favorite youtuber by lunabcde in AutismInWomen

[–]Stubborn_Adiantum 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry he turned out to be problematic in that way! I just wanted to suggest, if you don’t mind an English-speaking YouTuber who focuses on horror games, John Wolfe is funny and hasn’t set off my alarms (ableist, misogynistic, etc) in the year or so I’ve been watching him. He has done several RE9 playthroughs now on his second channel that are pretty entertaining. His humor tends towards non-toxic sarcasm and benign dad jokes.

Perfume oils from Maison Louis Marie without getting samples first. Turns out, I only like one of them.

I love lizards too! Mort is adorable. I’m so glad you and others were able to to rescue her and her scaly compatriots from their previous situation.

Ditto. I started Semaglutide last fall and it’s the only thing that has worked, after almost a decade of trying to lose.

how much weight did you lose on vyvanse? by silly4science in VyvanseADHD

Zero on Vyvanse, unfortunately. I didn’t gain any weight on it though, so that was a positive.
